When you spend your life battling death, who has time for love?
Dr. Ali Torveau knows just how fragile life can be - she sees death and tragedy every day in the trauma unit. Battling the dark forces of fate is her life's work and she doesn't want or need anything else, certainly nothing as transient as love. Plenty of women try to change her mind, but she never has any trouble saying no. Not until the day firefighter Beau Cross shows up in her ER and sets Ali’s carefully ordered world aflame.

I'm Audible's first Editor-at-Large, the host of In Bed with Susie Bright -- and a longtime author, editor, journo, and bookworm. I listen to audio when I'm cooking, playing cards, knitting, going to bed, waking up, driving, and putting other people's kids to bed! My favorite audiobooks, ever, are: "True Grit" and "The Dog of the South."
"A Sweaty, Breathless, Public Servant Sandwich"
Radclyffe is a retired surgeon who's become a bestselling author in lesbian romance, mystery, and erotica. She specializes in medical romances and is a pro at whipping up love concoctions.
The story revolves around a senior resident doctor who gets swept off her feet by a butch firefighter with a saucy attitude. I imagine Trauma Alert might've been a juicy day dream back when Radclyffe was making her rounds.
rambunctiously soft spoken.
"I have Narrator Trauma"
I don't know if I would have enjoyed this tale more of the serious Trauma doctor Ali ,battling her feelings for the hot and ripped firer fighter Beau, although not very hard if it wasn't was read by somebody who sounded like she was reading from a cook book her rhythm is of and with this kind of novel you need that ,granted this is not a a classic by any means but it didn't deserve this .It could have been so much better with a better narrator .
"Another good book by Radclyffe."
Another good book by Radclyffe. Tell me you will be doing a sequal to book one and two.
"Definitely recommend this one!"
I would, and have! Like 5 times! I find that every time i have listened to it i get things out of it that I missed the previous times! Good story line. I would love to see this as a movie!
Probably Dr. Torveau...
Aside from some unnecessary assertions by Beau Cross and her need to relieve her tension quite often, I enjoyed this book. It's easy to listen to. Good narration.
"Radclyffe has done it again!"
If you have a medical background and are a lesbian, you'll love Trauma Alert! Believe me, after reading this book, as well as her others that are based out of the Pa, you'll wish you could work in this hospital and become part of the family.
"Up to the high standard"
It's a great addition to the Radcliffe family of tales. You can always count on her and therefore I buy everything she writes.
""Awesome Story""
Yes, because it is a wonderful story and I think people would really enjoy it.
She did an awesome job with the voices of the characters. When switching from one character to another she did a good job making each voice unique.
Trauma Alert was a very good book to listen to it keep me interested throughout the book. It had moments when I was laughing out loud at work because the funny moments were funny. It had times when it keep me on my toes because when it happened it happened. I can't wait for the 2nd book to come out and I hope it does soon.

"Wish I had known"
I didn't realize this was a lesbian novel (it doesn't show in the summary). Not my style. I just lost a credit and only listened for about 10 minutes. Sorry I only like girls as friends.
"Unexpected"
Not unless the book summary gave me more detail about the book
The book summary did not get evidence that it was about two gay women
