"Interesting Moonglow"
I think this is a very interesting series. The story is intriguing but the whole gold clock in the chest sucking souls things is ahhh different. The author does present some non conventional creatures and weaves then very cleverly into the framework of the story. The sexual connection between the characters Daisy and Ian is not overwritten or too long. And the author does hint at Ian being something other than a total jerk in book one, so you are not too surprised with his character transformation in this book. If you enjoyed the first book then you will probably enjoy this one. I will be reading or listening to the 3rd book in the series.
"Good Performance, Decent Story"
Not as good as the first book in the series, Firelight, but a decent follow-up
"Great From Any Angle!"
Just like Firelight, Moonglow is great from any angle: Good story, great characters, a lot of emotion, and the world continues to evolve. Moira Quirk is a name that puts me at ease. Have no doubt. Narration is never an issue with her. If you like the genre, pick this up. Winterblaze is being released next month. Can't wait for Poppy's story!
"A strong second book to the series."
Sure would.
The author gives some interesting twists in explaining her paranormal world while not being too over the top. The murder systery and romance had a nice balance that didn't leave me wanting more of one than the other.
My favorite scene, by far, has to be the coach ride.
Moira has a pleasant voice and does an excellent job of British/Scottish accents. Quite believable.
I liked this book a little better than the first (which is a rare for me). I suppose the main characters really came alive with their cheeky/independant personalities. It was heart wrenching to learn about M's abuse from her former husband, as well as the family history from I's previous marriage.
The part that just didn't do it for me was at the end, when M leaves I's bed to take matters into her own hands inorder to achieve immortality. I thought that was a BIG decision, that I wasn't convienced she had thought through, potentially, causing problems in the future that she might not know about (since she just learned about all these different creatures and herself recently). Simply, I hate it when characters jump into a decision feet first and don't ask for a second opinion from someone who knows more than they do. That's arrogance.
All in all, I thought it was a wonderful addition to the series. The ending was left open for the story of the third sister (the oldest of the three). Her husband left her after an attack on his person and him finding out about who she is. I could really feel her pain and loneliness in the short blurb at the very end. Can't wait for it to come out.
“I love all genres of books, however when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
"Really Good Paranormal Book"
I am not usually into Paranormal but this book was very entertaining!
As opposed to Firelight, there is much more action in this book, along with an array of interesting supernatural creatures, mystery, intrigue, some good sex scenes. My expectations grow higher by the minute for this series. Can't wait for Winterblaze!
"From light PN to downright supernatural"
Again, wonderful British English, but this time seasoned with Scottish and bits of Cockney. Very entertaining!
As opposed to Firelight, there is much more action in this book, along with an array of interesting supernatural creatures, mistery and intrigue and the end is somewhat unexpected. Everything I could hope for in a book!
I very much liked Ian Northrup, although I didn't (probably should have) expect it from the first book. Daisy and I didn't click as much...
My expectations grow higher by the minute for this series. Can't wait for Winterblaze!

"Engaging and exciting story"
I have really enjoyed book 2 in this exciting series. As the first book this one also has a perfect mix of everything. It's thrilling mixed with lust, love, suspense, and much more. Looking forward to the next book :)

"Terrific Series"
Now that I've listened to all three books in this series, I can easily say that I enjoyed Moonglow the most. Kudos to Kristen Callihan for originality and imagination in a saturated PNR market. It's a helluva thing to have to note that she didn't steal bits and pieces from the other eleventy-million series out there and that I'm grateful that I don't have to use the word "derivative." And while I'm at it, let me say that this series is NOT dumbed down. Too bad that has to be said as well.
Beautifully narrated by Moira Quirk.
Tracy Thompson
