At long last, New York Times best-selling author Gena Showalter unveils the story of Paris, the darkest and most tormented Lord of the Underworld….
Possessed by the demon of Promiscuity, immortal warrior Paris is irresistibly seductive - but his potent allure comes at a terrible price. Every night he must bed someone new, or weaken and die. And the woman he craves above all others is the one woman he'd thought was forever beyond his reach… until now.
Newly possessed by the demon of Wrath, Sienna Blackstone is racked by a ruthless need to punish those around her. Yet in Paris's arms, the vulnerable beauty finds soul-searing passion and incredible peace. Until a blood feud between ancient enemies heats up.
Will the battle against gods, angels and creatures of the night bind them eternally - or tear them apart?

I spin my own wool and knit. Listening to audiobooks while I craft is one of my favorite things. I'm hooked.
"Well Worth the Wait"
This book is the latest in Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series, and it was certainly worth the wait. This series is great for those who like paranormal or fantasy romance, and the hero of this book, Paris, has been my favorite "Lord" from the start. Even though it's not been that long since the last book in the series was published, I'd been waiting not so patiently for Paris' story since the first. This book appeared in New Releases 3 days before I was due to get my credits, but there was no hesitation. I threw it in my cart and purchased it within 30 seconds of first seeing it listed. I'm pleased to say that it lived up to and even exceeded my expectations.
Each book in this series focus' on one couple, but there is an ongoing back story that continues on from book to book. The books are sensual and the sex scenes are explicit and detailed, but not so much as to take away from the storyline. The plot in fast paced, the action is covered well without getting bogged down with details. No, it isn't serious literary fiction and doesn't pretend to be, but it scores high on the "good escapist fun" scale.
Previous books give you an obvious clue to who the heroine in this story is, but there are still enough unexpected twists to make it worth the read. Without risking a spoiler, I'll only say for those reading the series that some big changes take place in the back story in this book.
Max Bellimore does a tremendous job with this material as usual. He seems to get better and better with each book. He does great character voices and keeps the narrative flowing smoothly.
This series is fantastic, and this book has to be hands down the best one yet. Five stars all around because there's just nothing about this book that I didn't like.
A mom, a wife, a friend, a happy ending addict, an audiobook junkie, a wine lover and geek wanna -be. I'm constantly looking to be blown away.
"Not the best..but still very good!"
Although this not my favorite - I think mostly due to how high in the sky my expectations were, this was still a tremendous listen and I highly recommend it (as part of a series- for complete enjoyment) to any fan of a hot ( yes, strong sexual content) paranormal romance genre.
Thank God Ms. Showalter hasn???t lost her ability to take me away now that I???m finding more and more difficult to surrender my mind and heart to a Paranormal Romance novel.
I love the lords and I???ve not grown tired of their world, I still want to hear William???s story (my favorite) I still want to go all the way to end, and if you???re a fan of the series I wouldn???t skip this one, it still contains all the elements that made you love it in the first place.
Hot???
Suspense???
Engrossing???
Well developed characters???
A good love story???
Action???
Updates on the rest the lords ???
It was great to get Galen???s point of view which has ignited my interest in him and Legion. I really enjoyed their story, I???m dying to see where it goes and where it will end.
New characters are introduced, secrets are revealed and don???t you want to know if the end is getting near?
LOTU continues to be one of favorite Paranormal Romance series.
All in all, this is a solid entry to the Lords of the Underworld and a highly enjoyable listen.
Narration.
I can???t believe that I have to start my review of the narration with ??? how can???t anyone not love Max Bellmore???????
I love the way he narrates these books, and The Darkest Seduction is not the exception.
Again he???s approach and pace are flawless, and the mood of the novel, the characters personality, and sensuality are perfectly conveyed.
Another fantastic job by very talented narrator.
"Slow Start Great Finish Horrible Narrator"
I have listen to Max Bellmore on all of these audio books and in this book he is awful about half way through I finaly just stopped listening and bought the book on Kindle!! Yes it is that bad! He is making noises like swallowing maybe all the time? and it is just gross to have a headphone in your ear and listen to someone constently swallowing their spit!!
I dont want to spoil anything but the last 20% of the book was the best part.
Already touched on this...
I was very disappointed with the begining of book just seam to get off to a slow start but about 40% in got a lot better and by the end I was wanting more! Loved the end!
Overall I think this is one of her best books in the series, but I would buy this book rather than audio because of the horrible noises he makes during the narraration.
I love to read! With kids, that hobby is impossible...enter Audible...problem solved. Chores that I dread are now quiet time for this Mommy!!!
"OUTSTANDING!!!!"
I have listened to all of the LOTU series and this is my favorite book by far. At this point in the series you know all of the characters present in the story line and understand their sense of humor. This novel actually had me laughing out loud at a few points (which looked rather strange with earphones in my ears at the checkout line in the grocery store). I think Gena did a perfect job of telling Parris's story and includes some continuing story lines that have me ready for those books as well. I would not recommend purchasing if you are not familiar with this series. Please read in order as all of these novels are fantastic!
"Excellent!"
Best book in series so far, don't want to ruin it for other fans but the end.... didn't see that coming! Great job, Gena, can't wait for the next book to come out.
liked them all, he has been the voice of all the Lords of the Underworld books and he's fantastic
"Best one yet!!!!"
All I can say is WOW!! Through all the books I have been excited to see how things worked out with Paris and it has been very hard not to skip forward and listen out of order but don't it is worth the wait. So many things happen in the book. It is truly an awesome story that will change everything. Gena Showalter is so good at weaving a story which is why this is probably one of my favorite series. I can't wait for the next edition.
hey :-) My name is Camilla
"The darkest seduction :-)"
Yet another masterpiece from Gena Showalter.
I love this story about Paris.
All I can say is I can't wait for the rest of the books in this series to come out.
"Great Story"
This book lived up to the same high standards as the other LOTUW. I have waited along time for Paris to get his story. It was nice to meet new characters as well.
There were way to many "wet" noises....spit, candy...I don't know what was making the noise but it took away from the performance.
"Slow beginning"
I've read all the series, really enjoying them. However, I almost put this one down and walked away. It seemed to drag on and on, with stupid dialogue, that I just couldn't get interested in.. I decided to keep listening, after all I used a credit, and by the second half of the book, it seemed to pick up and have a bit of plot to it. By, the end of the book, seems that the series has ended also, which might be a good thing, since this book just didn't make the grade. This book is a kick-off to her new series, so I don't know if I'll try it or not, after listening to this one. At any rate, if you want to go to the new series, you will want to listen to this book, or if you want to see what could have been the possible end to this series, you'll again have to listen to this book. It is better, once you get past the first half.
I believe in true love, happily ever after, magic, and laughter. But mostly I believe in coffee.
"Another good one!"
I've been waiting to read Paris' story for a long time.
I wasn't sure about Max Bellmore at first but the more I listened the more I felt he became the characters. I will gladly listen to anything he narrates.
