Mrs Pringle, the lugubrious school cleaner, has always been a favourite character in the Fairacre series. Here we trace Maud Pringle's life from childhood visits to the village from her Caxley home.

"A classic Miss Read novel with great characters"
the same
the growing buildup of the interseting characters in the village
I loved the English accents which helped to bring the different characters to life
over several sittings
I enjoyed these old , almost historical, books which gave a great portrait of a vanished rural life
I really want to buy more books but too many US ones I love UK narrators. Can you get some more Eleanor Bron, Gwen Watford, Jenny Agutter?
"Mrs Pringle"
Mrs Pringle is my favourite character in this series. I think we have all met someone like her. A solid, old busybody who is full of opinions yet kind underneath it all. This book is about her foibles, her history and an insight to her character. Fantastic. MORE PLEASE.
