Publisher's Summary

Roundhouse Publishing editor Kate C. Leever’s first letter to her newest legacy author was intended to impress upon him the growing demand for his “vampire romances”. Though he’d expressed little to no desire for publicity, book tours or the like, it was clear that this was a writer waiting to be broken out. Correspondence with Mr. Lucern Aregeneau tended to be oddly delayed, but this time his response was quick and succinct.

“No.”

But Kate was adamant: Luc was going to attend a romance convention to meet his fans. By hook or by crook, despite his reclusive nature, odd sleep schedule and avoidance of the sun, the surly yet handsome Luc was going to be recognized as the real charmer a nationally bestselling author should be. But soon Kate would learn that his novels were more biographies than bodice rippers, and it’d be her neck on the line.

A sweeter surrender, or more heartwarming love story – his own – Luc has yet to write.

Love in vein: listen to more tales of the Argeneau Vampires.

PNR is my prefered genre, but I also enjoy any lighthearted, funny, steamy stories. Listening to books helps me to do mindless housework.

"3rd book in the series-My favorite so far!"

This is actually the 3rd book in the series (visit Lynsay Sands website for correct order) and was the funniest one so far. Although the entire series is suppose to be "funny" and I did find the 1st two amusing, this book for me had actual LOL moments. I wasn't crazy about the narrator, at first (or his Lucern voice), but after only one chapter decided it was his performance that added to the humor and grew to really enjoy him. This is my favorite book in the series so far, best narrator and best story (IMHO). We got a taste for Lucern in the 1st two books, bitter, cold, angry and reclusive, not at all someone I'd have any tolerance for, but fortunatly for us Kate, his editor (and indended love interest) is a strong and tolerant woman, and thanks to his mothers match-making antics, is fooled into attending a romantic book conference as a featured author. Over the course of the conference, Luc thaws out and becomes very heart warming and charming, and I couldn't help but have affection for him in the end. Kate was a great heroine: strong, persistant, kind, patient, beauitful everything Luc needed.

    "Funny and great listening"

This book was loads of laughs. You see a very withdrawn reclusive vamp that favorite word is NO change into a somewhat caring and less abrasive vamp when he meets his publicist and has to attend a Romantic Times Convention. The trouble he gets into at the conventions is hilarious. The whole series is great.

    "Funny and enjoyable"

I reread this via listening the audiobook. This is one of the first quirky light hearted vampire romances I read and it still is really funny the 2nd time. I almost laughed outloud on the train listening to the scene where Lucern's cod piece gets caught on the table cloth... Like her other books, the series is not really a "urban fatasy," it's a light/humorous romance with a bit of vampire. So people who are not used to urban fantasy shouldn't be put off by the vampire element. I like these first set of Argeneau series because of this lightheartedness and fun, I wish the more recently published Rougue series has more of this kind of fun quirkyness.

    "Hilarious"

Lyndsay Sands has one of the best humor genes I have ever read. To take a subject that is dark and spooky, and make it a comedy has to take a lot of thought.
You have to love these characters and feel a little pity for them. because the most hilarious misfortunes happen to them.
I just can't say enough. Buy and Enjoy.

Loved the character of Lucern. Loved his "NO!" and his wonderful dry wit. So enjoyable and so funny. Loved Jeffrey Cummings as the narrator.

    "Single White Vampire"

This has to be the funniest book I have ever listened to or read. I listen to books while driving to and from work daily. This book had me laughing out loud over and over again. I loved Luc and Kate. They are one of my favorite
couples in all the series I have read. I highly recommend this series. I enjoyed Jeffrey Cummings narration also. It took a little while to get used to Luc's stuffy voice, but that is how Luc is.....Whoever buys this book, ENJOY!!

    "Making NO Funny!"

Loved this book! Unlike the first two books in the series (this is the 3rd book in the series!) - this one had me laughing out loud several times-amusing my husband and children!! I think i understook Luc better than his brothers from the start...

Charming, amusing, flat out belly laugh funny on occasion - this story is well worth your time. As the 3rd in the series - I do recommend reading them in order -

and am so hoping Audible finds it's way clear to take on the rest of the series!!!

"I am loving this series ,a fun read"

What a gread imagination and a gift for telling a story Lynsay Sands has. They hold my interest until the last word and I am always sorry to reach the last word.Sometimes I laugh out loud at the situations. I am listening to the series for the 2nd time, in order this time. There have been several narrators and all have done a really good job. Kirby Heyborne seems to be my favorite,he has a super voice in my opinion.

"Narrator's representation of Marguerite was bad"
    Any additional comments?

My only problem with this performance is that the narrator, Jeffrey Cummings, made Marguerite Argeneau sound like a middle-aged mother. She may be 700 years old; however, the Nanos keep her at an optimal thirty or so. This includes her voice.
