What do people really want? They want what they've got. It's a simple formula. You have what you want because your actions produced your results. Not your words, and certainly not your wants.
In his signature caustic yet lovable style, Larry Winget dishes out straight talk on what he calls "life's messes," and offers sound, simple solutions. Taking on business, family, health, being fat, being stupid, success, money, and more, Larry Winget points out exactly which changes have to take place in order for people to turn their lives around.
A little bit of business, a little bit of personal development, a little finance, a little parenting, a little health and wellness, People Are Idiots and I Can Prove It! will help anyone identify their own "areas of stupidity" and take action to finally achieve real success.

"Larry Hits the Nail on the Head"
I love Larry and loved this book. Fans will be glad to hear he's narrating this one. If you like to be told things straight up, no holding back, with a "I'm here to kick butt and take no prisoners" attitude - this is the book for you. If you're the type who needs to be cuddled and spoken to gently, skip it. This is not an audio book for the precious, sensitive-types among us. If you're not familiar w/ Larry, listen to the sample to see if you like his tonality. He's blunt, sarcastic and sometimes a tad crude so be warned.
His common sense, take responsibility for yourself and act like a mature adult ideology is a perfect antidote for the seemingly overwhelming numbers of whiny, self-absorbed, lazy, "it's all about me" princesses (of both genders) that seem to have invaded the population over the past several years. If you're up to really evaluating yourself, your actions and your life in order to get where you want to go, I urge you to get this book, do ALL the exercises and follow through. I think it's time for all of us to "put on our big kid panties" and work towards a more positive, stable, productive tomorrow.
Now, since I believe Larry's title that people are idiots, I'll just wait to see how many reviews show up complaining about how mean and uncouth Larry is in this book and what a waste of a credit it was, even though they've had ample warning. :-)
"Eye opener"
Once Larry gets past putting everyone in the world down he breaks things into chapters. While I can't wear stillettos I appreciate that one should look for qualities in a mate that are compatible with their likes and dislikes. Wish I had this book 25 years ago!
Some of the idiots he describes. The ones that annoy everybody. Especially on planes and in restaurants.
Larry Winget. Once you listen, I need say no more.
A ton of stuff! The people I hang out with, mostly.
I wish he would narrate ALL of his books. I love the two I have.

"he totally pissed me off"
and I couldn't stop listening, except when I was making the lists he tells you to write. Yes we are ALL idiots and the goal is the do it less often. I was so happy when he brought up a topic I was already doing and kicking myself when the next section was something I never thought of. He really doesn???t tell anyone anything new but he tells it like it is and helped me keep working on improving myself.
"Old worn out style"
Never heard of Larry Winget before, but it was on the 5.95 special and I thought I'd give him a try. It's just not cute after awhile to hear the "good ole, psycho country boy" persona telling you all the same crap that you've heard for years. He just tries too hard to be "tough".
"Truth hurts and I am in pain!"
For anyone who is honest with his or her self I would recommend this book if they are truly wanting to work and change!
"Candid and to the Point"
Mr. Winget speak the truth. There is no need for sugarcoating in his world. His use of personal experiences with plain fact is critical for anyone trying to run a business in this climate.
Some of the information is overlap from his other books, this particular book focus on the people and their good, bad and interesting habit as consumers, employees and neighbors.
I laughed through many of the moments, some of his stories are comical.
"Well we know that."
Good book but not a lot of new info if you've been in the field. If you haven't then it'll be enlightening.
""NO BULL SH*T ADVICE THAT IS SIMPLE STUPID""
I have read all of Larry Winget books. I LOVE his no bull sh*t approach to life.
I Love Larry Winget personal story's. I all so love how he takes ever day life story's and weaves them into meaningful messages.
I have read all of Larry Winget's other books. But I like the audio version better when some one reads to me I personal learn so much more and enjoy the material so much better.
No bull-sh*t life advice even dummies can do.or No Bull Sh*t Life Advice that is simple stupid. I think both of those saying mite be good tag lines.
To many lists in the book. I would have like the author / narrator Larry Widget to tell more stories since he is such a good story teller.
