"Manima Comes Into Her Own"
If you could sum up Explorer in three words, what would they be?It's About Time.
Who was your favorite character and why?Ilisidi and Bren Cameron. Illisidi comes into her own in this story, showing how life experience can very often save a potentially fatal situation, and Bren comes through with his ability to finesse communications between differing species.
Have you listened to any of Daniel Thomas May’s other performances before? How does this one compare?Only in other books of this series and every one of them was perfectly read by Daniel Thomas May.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?Yup.
Any additional comments?In a time where being old is akin to being superfluous and powerless, it's a great pleasure to remember what role our most life-experienced members of society have to offer those just getting their start. This story brings Bren, and the Atevi through perilous times and circumstance based on the actions of the youngest and eldest members of their society. A story of self-discipline, loyalty and open-mindedness that can't be put down until the end.
