Fiercely loyal to his older brother, Alaric McCabe leads his clan in the fight for their birthright. Now he is prepared to wed for duty, as well. But on his way to claim the hand of Rionna McDonald, daughter of a neighboring chieftain, he is ambushed and left for dead. Miraculously, his life is saved by the soft touch of a Highland angel, a courageous beauty who will put to the test his fealty to his clan, his honor, and his deepest desires.
An outcast from her own clan, Keeley McDonald was betrayed by those she loved and trusted. When the wounded warrior falls from his horse, she is drawn to his strong, lean body. The wicked glint in his green eyes ignites a passion that will follow them back to Alaric's keep, where their forbidden love draws them deeper into the pleasures of the flesh. But as conspiracy and danger circle closer, Alaric must make an impossible choice: Will he betray his blood ties for the woman he loves?

"The second book in Bank's trilogy shows her ability to write fast-paced, sexually charged, emotionally intense romances." (Romantic Times)
I've become a sucker for Audible. I love audiobooks, to the point of addiction. Especially a good romance audiobook... :)
"Better than the first book. Love those Highlanders"
I was not expecting that much from this book, as I wasn't that engaged with the first novel. However, Banks has written a really lovely, sexy, heart-breaking and original highlander story. I thought the book was written and performed quite well.
I recommend this to all the highland lovers out there! Great characters who are fleshed out and complex! A truly wonderful romance between two lovers who were never meant to be together. Full of love, honor, loyalty and strength, this book was a joy to read!
I don't think you'll be disappointed! Can't wait for the next installment.

"A Great Story"
It is right at the top. I have only rated a few books, and this one was good enough for me to rate!
I like the Scottish Highland stories, and this one was like Paula Quinn's series Children of the Mist because Seduction of a Highland Lass was very touching and Paula's are books are touching as well.
No I have not, but she did such an awesome job. I will definitely trust her narration for another book I may be interested in.
I was really moved by Aleric and Keely's story its not quite like any I have ever read. It was so touching and loving and at times heartbreaking, and not to worry it had a very good ending. I have enjoyed reading Maya Banks stories for a while. However, these Highland Series books were very well done and they are my favorite Maya Banks books that I have read or listened to so far. I hope she continues to write stories with a Scottish Highland theme. I also enjoyed the narrator, I thought she did a fabulous job! I will definitely be listening to more books with her narration. I also hope that she does more Scottish Highland themed stories. She was great!I would recommend this book as one of my all time favorites.

"It has everything a romance groupie needs."
Brilliant listen - it had strong characters that were entwined in a passionate and emotional story. However, have your tissues ready because it was heartbreaking too. I thought this was better than the first and I'm happily off to listen to Book 3 but I'm sure they are all exceptional. Give us more more more.
Worth the credit? Oh yea !!
I read so I can write
"I fell in love"
Ms Banks just get better and better. This is a fun read. Big struggle for the hero and heroine but they finally make it happen.
Historical romance junkie. Who doesn't love romance?
"Whew!!! Is it hot in here? No? Must this book!"
First, let me fan myself and get rid of this burning blush.
This second book in a series about the McCabe brothers and their clan's fight for their land is steamy with a capital S!
Alaric McCabe finds himself torn between loyalty and duty or honor and love. Betrothed to the daughter of another clan by the king in hopes of uniting their clans to strengthen their forces, Alaric is willing to do his duty until an ambush nearly kills him and leaves him for dead. Now almost mortally wounded and helpless, an angel comes to his aid and nurses him back to life. Now his duty is bittersweet and he is forced to make the most difficult decisions of his life. Will he do what his clan needs to secure their lands or will he follow his heart?
This story is well written and gives new meaning to the term "romance" novel. I found my self actually blushing during the loves scenes, which were very well written and quite a bit naughty but fun. I can't wait to read the next story in this series. Banks makes her hero's both steamy and intensely male, making you sigh with wistfulness for days gone by when the term "metrosexual" didn't exist.
The narrator Kirsten Potter's voice is clear and concise with no awkward pauses or breath inhalations I hear on some recordings. Her voice is neither to male or female making it easy for the ear to make the transition from character to character. Her speech is spot on and she never falters or stumbles over the sentences, bravo Ms. Potter, I'm sure its no easy feat. I seriously didn't want it to end.
This is the third book I have listened to by Maya Banks and she is now one of my favorite authors.
Say something about yourself!
"I want more!"
The love connection Alaric and Kaleeye share is wonderful. I laugh, cried, and had mix feelings when listening to this book. I loved the BDSM scene between Alaric and Kaleeye..
The narration is great I felt like I was there witnessing everything.
"Another one of Ms. Banks steamy novels!"

Review:
"Seduction of a Highland Lass" by Maya Banks was just another one of her excellent emotional, hot, sexy romantic reads that only she can produce for us. This was another Scottish historical novels...the second in the McCabe Trilogy where Alaric has been attacked and gets in the hands of an 'Angel or his devil' by the name of Keeley. Keeley was a 'healer' and tends Alaric wounds. Later, Alaric brothers comes and not only take Alaric to their home but also takes Keeley...against her will, however since she had been tossed out of her clan...and had some feeling for this man who was unconsciousness...she goes with the McCabe brothers and this wonderful read takes off to give us only a excellent amazing read that only this author can give to us.
The characters were all well defined with such personalities that only will kept the reader reading to only get more. Though Keeley had saved Alaric in the beginning...will Alaric be able to save her in the end? Will Alaric accept his responsibilities? Now, this is where I say in order to find out the answer to those questions you must pick up this second series.."Seduction of a Highland Lass" to find out what is in store for both of these two people. Be ready to laugh and even tear up some on the ride in this wonderful read.
I found "Seduction of a Highland Lass" a read that I could not put down until the end. If you are in for a excellent 'Scottish' romance you have come to the right place and I would definitely recommend this novel to you.
Audio-fiction ADDICT !
"This series in INTOXICATING !"
This series is SO GOOD! Though this book is slightly less impressive than the first book. But still it was an amazing one. The highland stories are so exciting. The characters are so attractive and the plot is so sensual.
The narrator is really good. I like that she reads in simple neutral English, then when talking out the characters, transforms into a good and understandable Scottish accent. Very well done performance.
For historical addicts like me, this is a fine treat ;)
Never judge a book by its movie
"Love this series"
I loved the story line, the sub plots, and the family dynamics of the McCabe's. There is a lot going on in this story it flows beautfully
always loved Calen, the youngest McCabe brother. He tries so hard to be cynical, about women and love, but you can feel deep down, he wants love more than anything.
I was really sceptical l because she has an american accent, but that's only when she is reading a descriptive passage. But she was FANTASTIC, her Scots burr was bang on.for ALL the characters
The most moving scene is the beginning of the wedding, When the heroine (Keeley) watches hero (Alaric) wed her childhood friend Rionna.
It was beautiful, and so moving, this scene alone is worth the credit.
You will not regret downloading this book, or any book. I cannot wait until Caelen's story!!!
