Zachary Bronson has built an empire of wealth and power, but all London knows he is not a gentleman. He needs a wife to secure his position in society – and to warm his bed in private. But one alluring, unexpected kiss from Lady Holly Taylor awakens a powerful need within him beyond respectability.
An exceptional beauty whose fierce passions match Zachary’s own, Holly always intended to play by society’s rules, even when they clashed with her bolder instincts. But now a dashing stranger has made her a scandalous offer that does not include matrimony. Should she ignore the sensuous promise of a forbidden kiss… or risk everything to follow her heart to a place where dreams begin?

Audio-fiction ADDICT !
"One of the best audiobooks I listened to !"
What a wonderful book ! I never wanted it to end. The story was absolutely lovely. The characters are bewitching . The narration was just perfect. The combination of Lisa Kleypas and Rosalyn Landor is absolutely sensational. Thank you both for such wonderful work
When I clean, drive or exercise I listen to romance. The steamier the better but it must have a great story as well!
"A Perfect Historical Romance!"
Lisa Kleypas is an extremely talented author, she has the ability to write historical romance in a way that draws in the reader. You feel like your there and can relate to the main characters struggles of feelings. Throw Rosalyn Landor is as the narrator and it's a combination that can't go wrong. This book was one of my favorites, I loved Holly's character and Zach is definitely my type of man, tall and strong with a dominating personality!
Avid reader and audiobook listener; I love paranormal lit, mysteries, historical fiction, romance, Brit-crime novels and thrillers.
"My Favorite LK Book Thus Far"
Lisa Kleypas is an excellent author. Rosalyn Landor is an excellent narrator. Put them together and you have......PFM (pure freakin' magic!). I thought my favorite narrator was Davina Porter (who is very, very good, by the way), but Rosalyn Landor does SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB distinguishing between characters, male and female; not just reading Lisa Kleypas' stories, but actually PERFORMING them! She is one talented lady.
This book is a bit different than many romance novels that I have read. I liked the heroine and the hero both and was quite moved by their story. Yes, I realize this is fiction (and romantic fiction at that), but I really came to care about what happened to Holly and Zack. Ms. Kleypas created the exact amount of tension between them and she writes GREAT love scenes.....(phew!) Holly is a very lovable character and I found myself laughing out loud at some of the things she said and thought ("I'm going to make his eyes fall out!"). Zack is a very strong man, not a pushover, but he loves Holly the way I think every woman wants to be loved.
Listening to/reading romance novels is a guilty pleasure of mine so when I find an author who is actually a good storyteller, can create characters that I actually care about, and doesn't use too many cheesy or overdone plots, I seek to read or listen to all of his/her books. LK is my latest find (I haven't been this excited since I discovered Diana Gabaldon over ten years ago) and I will definitely be downloading more of her novels on Audible.
I've become a sucker for Audible. I love audiobooks, to the point of addiction. Especially a good romance audiobook... :)
"Far and away the best LK I've read!"
Oh my! I don't know how I missed this book, since I've listened to every LK audiobook. I have had this one for 3 years, and thought I listened to it. I'm so thankful I realized my mistake.
This is not just another great Kleypas romance; this book stands alone as one of the most gorgeous, passionate, heart-breaking, triumphant stories I've read. It makes her Friday Harbor series look like a disaster.
This is the the story of a proper society widow and a rough-around-the-edges self-made millionaire who meet by chance in the shadows and find that their lives are never the same again.
Holly is hired to teach Zachary Bronson propriety and to help him and his sister to be accepted by the ton. But while she teaches him refined manners and courtly grace, he teaches her about a world of forbidden passion and love so deep it stirs the soul.
The book made me laugh and cry and my heart swelled with the budding relationship between these two characters. Along with the H/h, there are a number of wonderful side characters that I fell in love with!!
Rosalyn Landors is perfect for this book. Her narration was spot on!
Not to be missed!!! Highest Recommendation!
"Very nice"
LK is simply awesome. I enjoyed this story very much. The narrator was very good. I had a difficult time putting the book down, and I was disappointed when it ended.
Tell us about yourself!
"Where Dreams Begin"
Zachary Bronson was so worth the risk! He was bad enough but deep down you knew he was a great guy. Rosalyn Landor is absolutely sensational reading this. It's a must read.
How both Zachary and Holly fight their feelings, but you could feel the tension between the two!
Rosalyn made this story come alive. I don't think I've listened to anything from her I didn't love.
Yes, I hate short books and this lasted me about three full days of cleaning! Well worth the credit or even the full price, it's that good.
If you have never read Lisa Kleypas before, make sure you get her Wallflower series!

"Where Dreams Begin? With Lisa Kleypas, of course."
I have listened to this audio book twice now. First in the car, commuting. Then at home, so I could savor each and every word.
The two protagonists are clearly and completely established. Never does Ms. Kleypas deliver an odd note in her story.
Rosalyn Landor is one of my favorite narrators. The life with which she imbues her characters enhance this already great story.
Clash of the classes
Always eagerly await a Lisa Kleypas novel. Be it historical or modern, her romances never disappoint.
"Enjoyable romance with a little steam."
I have been a fan of Lisa Kleypas audiobooks and this one is typical. IE - The couple meet & seem ill-suited for each other. Their relationship develops & they fall for each other but keep it to themselves due to their own insecurities. They have a sexual encounter that results in a break up as well as an obsession with the other. The story comes to a crisis point from which they overcome the obstacles that have kept them apart.
Wag More Bark Less
"Loved it"
The strength of the female character. You can feel her growing into her own person as the story goes along.
The banter.
