A RITA Award winner, New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr has garnered popular acclaim for her contemporary romances. Set in beautiful Northern California, A Summer in Sonoma follows the trials of four women who’ve been friends since seventh grade. As they teeter on the brink of 30, they learn that life can change in an instant—and having old friends to lean on may never be more important.

"summer in sonoma"
I was impressed by the credentials of the author and the opening 5 minutes of the book. However after 49 minutes of listening to what can only be described as boring to puerile, I could take no more.
"Not Virgin River But Ok"
I agree with the other reviewer, this doesn't hold a candle to the Virgin River Series but still a good listen. I don't care for the reader at all. It makes the story very confusing because she uses the same voice for all of the characters and you never know who is talking!! Cute story overall.

"Good story"
I liked this book but didn't love it like the Virgin River series. There were just too many characters, too many stories and sometimes it got confusing who was who. The narrator did a great job since she had to have so many voices for all the numerous characters. Maybe it was just me but in the beginning I had a hard time keeping up it gets better about 3/4 way through. Still worth a credit.
"Robyn does it again!"
Another GREAT listen by Robyn Carr. Have listened to all the Virgin River books and this one is right up there. Good characters, great visuals in Sonoma and you can just feel the wind in your hair while riding the Harley! First book for reader Kate Turnbull, and has the sweet voice almost, (almost) of Therese Plummer. We need more by Ms. Carr and Ms. Turnbull.
"Carr yet again writes another enjoyable novel"
I really enjoyed this book, having listened to many of the Virgin River series, I was not disappointed with Summer In Sonoma. I would recommend to anyone who has listened to other Carr novels.
If Kate could infuse various voices it would have been even better.
"Great Listen!"
Love to hear more by Kate.
Julie, it goes to show mother's can always find a way to stretch a buck!
Kate was a great narrator. Another great story by Robyn Carr.
"Enjoyed"
It was light hearted and I enjoy stories of friends.
Loved that the biker man was found not to be the stero biker man.
All.
Good title
Good book, well worth buying.
"Summer in Sonoma"
I love this Author! I wish all her books were on Audible.com I would buy everyone of the even though I have read everyone to date. I am looking forward to the upcoming new releases. This book was Awesome just as I suspected it would be.
"Good, but not great"
Maybe. The Narration was good, so I would listen to the narrator again.
The most interesting is Everyone lived happily ever after and the least is everyone lives happily ever after. I kept thinking to myself- Men aren't really like this! This is a FICTIONAL story. So- if you want to escape into a fantasy land- this is a great story. It just so happens when I was listening to this book that's what I wanted... Now that I'm reviewing it- it's not were I am mentally.
Yes. The narrator did fine.
No. I can surmise how everything ends by how the story ended.
I've listened to numerous chick-lit. This is a chick- fantasy. Please know I enjoyed this enough to listen later, but its like a rich chocolatey cake with double chocolate frosting topped with whip cream- its good, but too much is just sickening.

"Decent - not Virgin River - disliked narrator"
Overall, I enjoyed the story - at times I found it redundant - things were repeated unnecessarily. It's definitely not up there with Virgin River as far as I'm concerned. I had a tough time with the narrator - I never became immersed in the story because I felt she was just reading (rather than performing) most of the time.
