"What a Lovely Memory!"
This is the first historical fiction that I can remember reading in my youth. Norah Lofts was a wonderful beginning for a young girl and this book was a good reminder to me of why I came to love history.
This is not a bodice ripper, but rather, a retelling of an actual historical life with never a vampire in sight. And I still look forward to many more of Lofts' novels.2 of 2 people found this review helpful
