Love books on tape! It's all about the narrators for me though. No matter how good the story, if the narrator doesn't cut it...
"TOO HOOD FOR ME"
Twice I tried listening to it. I was unable to keep up with the characters and felt that it was just too street for me. If you like the street thugging, ghetto type of story, then this one is for you. However, the narrator, as usual did a SUPERB job!
"Can't wait for the next book"
I really enjoyed this series and can't wait to read the next book. The author gives great detail and brings you into each characters life so you feel involved.
"Can't wait for the next one!!!"
I truly did enjoy this book. After listening to Section 8, I was hooked on this series. I loved the characters, especially Animal, as they kept me on the edge of my seat. That man is a beast! At times it was hard to get into the story with the narrator playing both male and female voices as well distinguishing what one character said from another, but I'm sure a re-listen would clarify. I do wish there was more going on with Tionna, but what Gucci was going through made up for it. She really should have chilled out. Those two detectives hounding Animal and his crew got on my nerves as did Malika's son for being hard headed. We never find out who shot Don B, but we did find out he is a punk! I was surprised to learn after further researching on the author, that there are two more books in the Hoodrat series, Hoodrat & Still Hood. It seems also that all of the author's books are tied to one another. I just love stories like that where the plot thickens. In addition, I was happy to find out that there in another book to come called Eviction Notice. I hope audible.com would consider putting all of K'wan's books on here as I would surely listen.
"I love this book!"
The story, the narrator, it all worked! This book left me wanting more, I can't wait for the next installment.
Love, love, love this!
"Great Book!"
This was my first Audible purchase and I was not disappointed. The narrator was so good it was as if you were more a part of the story than you are when you read an actual book!
I enjoyed all of the characters.
All of them. Kwan is just tht good!
I laughed right along with the characters.
Keep up the good work and thank you for making my first Audible experience great! I'll definitely be purchasing more.

Yes because it had a lot of realistic situations and it was very entertaining.
I liked it when rock head got what was coming to him because it was wrong for him to be purposefully infecting those young girls with h.i.v.
Yes. He is a great narrator. All of his narrations are great.
Animal because he's a beast.
"K'wan is at the top of his game in this installmen"
K'wan delivers again in this installment of his Hood Rat series. As always, he delivers a fast, paced look into the world of his most memorable characters. The narration is top notched and makes the reader feel like they are in the midst of the story. A must have and a great read!
"Interesting"
The reading started skipping during chapter 34. Missed approximately 5 minutes of the story. Overall storyline was good. The narrator did a good job.
"Very good!"
This is the audiobook that had me going back searching for more "urban" themed audiobooks! I love the characters and their hustle! Although the book has "graphic" language, it suited the situation and the type of environments the characters were coming from. I truly enjoyed listening to it and by the end, I wasn't disappointed and felt it was money well spent!
