Damaged

Damaged is an intriguing Canadian medical legal thriller that grips the audience from the moment that a horrified Kate feels remorse that she allowed her fears to overwhelm her sense of decency as she knew the grandma made a strong appeal in the interest of her granddaughter. The key to the story line is Kate who is a classic scaredy cat who ends up in "Hell", which could have broken her or given her a backbone of steel. Fans will enjoy a sort of coming of age tale as the women who always chose flight now must choose fight for the first time in her life against a powerful influential opponent.

Probably in the middle. This book kept me listening. there was just enough suspense to keep it going. I honestly enjoyed this book.

I would compare this book to a Nora Roberts book, but maybe a little more suspense.

I really liked her, she plays a feminine character really well. She also does a good male, overall she was great!

I loved the story and suspense. Pamela Callow has quickly become one of my favorites.

Yes it did. However, I listened to the books out of order. Listening to Indefensible first ruined some of the plot twist for me. But, I was hooked til the bitter end.

My favorite scene was when Kate broke into the funeral home. I was so afraid. Acutally said to myself, Kate what are you doing stupid.

I was moved by the two elderly ladies. They were sharp. And no one was going to take advantage of them because of their age.

My hope for the future is that reviewers learn how to spell before they write and post insidious comments. I found the narrator to be a pleasure to listen to: a soothing voice directing the reader through what I found to be often labor-some text. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

The narrator is aweful on this story. She pauses and breathes dramatically with the end of every sentence and the tone of her voice and over enunciation of each word precisely and slowly make it sound like she's reading to people who have English as a second language. It's just too painful to finish. Who knows if the story would be a good one.

The story was okay, but made me sad as I listened. The main character is this guilt ridden women who hasn't done anything worthy of all this guilt. Then the guy, who supposedly loves her, treats her rotten because of what she supposedly did. Her terrible sin was that, while she was driving, her sister died when she had an accident. This theme carried too much weight for me. Guilt permeated the story plus there was so much repetiton; the same facts given over and over. The story didn't make me happy or excited to hear more of it. It made me mad and disgusted at how guilty she felt all the time and how her boyfriend was so heartless. I just wanted it over.
