"Lighthearted and steamy, Simply Sexy by Carly Phillips is simply fun. Interesting characters, heated love scenes, and the holiday spirit all combine to make this book a wonderful listen." (Romance Reviews Today)

"Summer read"
Main characters were hands all over or in bed most of the time so there wasn’t much time for the actual story. If you like lots of bedroom scenes then you will love this book. Don’t get me wrong I love a good hot story but there was more sex than story.
I honestly write these reviews in a spirit of sharing and helpfulness. I have no idea why I always end up sounding so snotty...
"Prose Challenged"
I can't for the life of me figure out how Carly Philips became a best selling author. Her stories are labored, her characters two -dimensional, and her prose is as artless as any I've ever read. We're endlessly told what the characters are feeling (happy, sad, conflicted and/or horny) but made to feel none of it ourselves - except maybe the horny part. She's definitely not stingy with the sex scenes - but in the long run, you won't care if the central characters stay together or not. Yawn.
"Pretty silly"
Not one of Carly Phillips best. The dialog was pretty embarrassing.

"Average romance novel"
Not the best I've read from Carly Phillips, but not a bad offering.
"Horrbile"
This was painful to listen too, but I kept listening thinking at some point it would get interesting. I was wrong. Mundane characters with mundane lives. Just so boring!!!!!!
"Beach Book"
The love scenes are totally pornographic. Blah, Blah, Blah. But otherwise it was an easy, enjoyable read.
