    "Really funny!"

Funny, sexy and entertaining. Characters you'd like to meet & spend time with. The narration was outstanding. Reminds me of the Evanovich character Stephanie Plumb but in a comic Purgatory.

    "Laugh Out Loud Funny!"

Great choice for stress relief! Katie MacAlister has a great imagination and Barbara Rosenblatt is my all time favorite reader. Barbara makes the characters so much more entertaining than I believe anyone else could. (I heard the noises other listeners complained of, but Barbara is a person, not a machine, doesn't bother me. I did notice it more when I wore headphones and had the volume up too high. I didn't hear it in my car.)

"fun story, good narration, bad narrator traits"

The story moves along quickly and has a lot of tongue in cheek fun. The narrator does a good job of creating different voices for different characters. Her voice changes nicely with the tone of the book. Unfortunately the recording has too many sounds of swallowing and mouth noises that I found distracting and gross. I had to listen with the volume down so that I couldn't hear her mouth noises.

"You will LOVE Katie MacAlister's Books"

This is the latest in her dragon series on audible.com. Good story line with great characters. The narrator is good and gives life to the various and different story lines involved in each of her books. I look forward to seeing the entire series to download in the future. Please do not change narrators. This one is perfect for the books.

    "Love the storyline."

I really like the story line and feel the narrator did very well. I don't know if the noise I hear on the recording is the narrator or the sound quality, but sometimes it was a little irritating. I enjoyed the story and although I don't mind sexual content, I felt the descriptions were a little repetitive. All in all, I will listen to the remainder of the series and have enjoyed the story thus far.

    "Good Book, Distracting Noise"

I read this book in paperback years ago and thought it might be nice to revisit it in audio form. It is a funny, witty and very entertaining story. My biggest problem is the narrator. It is not the voices she does, because they are very good. My problem is the swallowing sound that she makes constantly. I usually listen to audio books on my Ipod. The sound is quite distracting and a little disgusting to listen to it through earphones. I'm not really happy about having to write this review, but I just want anyone else who would purchase this to be aware that the noise occurs ALOT. Other than that, I have no problem with the story or narrator.

"Narrator is ruining this book for me!"

So far the story, hasn't been to bad, but narrator, Barbara Rosenblat is a very bad choice. For on thing, she sounds way to old for the main character. Secondly, she comes across as if she is on some kind of medicine, which is making her have a very dry mouth. You are forced to hear her take many deep breaths. And this gets really annoying.

    "Not interesting"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I thought it would be funny, but I think the humor is amateurish. I'm not laughing.

What was most disappointing about Katie MacAlister’s story?

It's too simple, and no humor. It attempts to be funny, but I don't get it.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I usually like Barbara Rosenblat - especially when she narrates for Nevada Barr. I think that I'm so used to hearing her in a non-fantasy role, that this was too much of a stretch for me.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. I hate to put down a book, so I'm going to try and finish, but this may be one that I just let go.
