"Very Mediocre."
Well, it wasn't the WORST vampire novel I've ever read, but...
Think: Buffy the Vampire Slayer depth meets Anne Rice earnestness.
Unfortunately, it was not well written enough to pull off the drama, and not funny enough to excuse the shallow plot.
I definitely struggled with the very stereotypical self-loathing vampire and the "Oh! What am I doing, and why am I doing it?" heroine.
I also found it odd that not a single intimate encounter was in an appropriate location. I am all for adventure, but find some privacy or at least somewhere comfortable for goodness sakes!
The pace was ok and a few parts were entertaining. All-in-all, I wouldn't recommend it, but wouldn't quite call it a painful listen either.3 of 3 people found this review helpful -
"Eh... If your a romantic...."
I was hoping for something, a little bit more kinky than what this book is. It starts out good, but than it gets sort of mushy lovey-dovey near the end. It wasn't the kind of erotica I like to read. However, if you like romantic books, you'll probably like it.

"SURE THING FOR VAMPIRE ROMANTIC FANS"
She gets bitten and loved-up - longs for more so joins a vampire hunter group - 1 year later she finds her vampire again and the whole thing happens again and again. He falls in love with her and visa versa - there's a twist to the plot then nearly all live happily ever after (come on I didn't spoil the ending - it's a Blaze book!).
Am I sorry I used a credit on this book? - no but there are better vampire books out there and I'd probably wait for the half price Audible Sale and purchase it for cash then.1 of 1 people found this review helpful -

"Very disappointing"
This is not my favorite book by Crystal Green. Let's just say, she has done better. I thought it would be more dramatic with more exciting sensual scenes. Maybe it was the narration but I was very disappointed.

"Ultimately Better Than Most"
Being a vampire fan, I found this book to be a real enjoyment after listening to several "cold" stories! I would love to see a sequil for this one!

"Great Narrator"
Gabra Zackman is the best narrator for romance novels. Typical paranormal romance novel made better by the narrator. Great beach reading.
