Since the moment of her defection from the PsyNet and into the SnowDancer wolf pack, Sienna Lauren has had one weakness: Hawke. Alpha and dangerous, he compels her to madness. Hawke is used to walking alone, having lost the woman who would've been his mate long ago. But Sienna fascinates the primal heart of him, even as he tells himself she is far too young to handle the wild fury of the wolf. Then Sienna changes the rules - and suddenly, there is no more distance, only the most intimate of battles between two people who were never meant to meet.
Yet as they strip away each other's secrets in a storm of raw emotion, they must also ready themselves for a far more vicious fight. A deadly enemy is out to destroy SnowDancer, striking at everything they hold dear, but it is Sienna's darkest secret that may yet savage the pack that is her home---and the alpha who is its heartbeat.
Mind over matter: listen to more in the Psy-Changeling series.

"Kiss Of Snow was GRRReat!!!!"
WOW!!! Hawke and Sienna's book was GRRRreat!!! That is one big,BAD,hunky wolf!!!(and a cute little Psy). I have always loved Nalini's books and just know a copy of one format or another, be it paperback, hardcover and now Audio, will automatically find it's way into my shopping cart somewhere on the World Wide Web! This Psy-Changeling series has had me enthralled since the first chapter of the first book. When I first read the back of Slave To Sensation,it reminded me (sort of) of the movie Equilibrium staring Christian Bale(one of my favorite movies), with the no emotion thing. I find the Psy world very interesting, but no touching?? PLEASE......I couldn't live like that, so can I live with either the SnowDancer or DarkRiver pack? I don't care which one, just give me those skin privileges!!! Anyway...I love that Hawke and Sienna finally get their book. Sienna sure did grow up on us, and in a good way.I can hardly wait to see where Nalini takes the series from here.
Since this is a review for the audio format...I think that Angela Dawe has settled into the books. By that I mean that in the first book she read of this series, she sounded a little stiff and read a bit too fast. Now she, in my opinion, seems to understand the characters more and, for me, the book flows better than the first 2. It is my understanding that books 3-9 will be coming out on audio in the very near future and also read by Angela Dawe. I hope she does as good of a job with those as she has with Kiss Of Snow.
Final thoughts: The Psy-Changeling series is a MUST for paranormal romance fans. However.....start with book 1 and read them in order (the ones in the anthologies don't effect the storyline in the full novels, so you can skip those, but who would want to?)
Wonderful job Nalini. I wish you could make it to South Florida sometime. I would live to meet you in person!!!

"Hawke & Sienna BURN up the story ~ I couldn't stop"
Yes! The characters truly come ALIVE in this audio book ~ it's an amazing romance, and actually what you'd call a June/December romance. I adored how Hawke fought himself for Sienna until she was old enough ~ and how mature she was for such a young woman. But not only was the romance amazing, the back story of the war that is breaking out w/ the Psy and Changelings is so fascinating, and engrossing. And while we meet so many supporting players in Nalini Singh's books, she never overwhelms you w/ them, gives you time to get to know them, and makes me want MORE before I've even listened to the last word. Oh, and the mystery of who the 'Ghost' is compels me to go back and reread and relisten to every book for clues!
The entire series is fabulous, but as far as the actual romance I'd have to say book 1, Luc and Sasha's story ~ the Alpha's are unique, and the fact that they've both chosen to mate w/ Psy so plays into the overall story arc of the series.
This book was filled with them ~ but though it was wrenching, when Hawke pretty much lays it out there for Sienna that though they'll belong to one another, he can never give her the mating bond...and she has to choose if she can accept that.
There were MANY ~ and it's hard to say my fav w/out giving spoilers, but Ms. Singh had broken me down, and was so sad because I thought something wasn't going to happen ~ and when it did, it was so fast and slipped in on us I was thrilled!! I LOVED the way she played it!
There is a secondary romance in this one, that of Sienna's older brother Walker, and the healer Lana. You'd think you'd feel cheated getting their story slipped into another, but it was great, and I felt like we actually got to know them and what they faced both as individuals and as a couple ~ I was thrilled for them.
Angela Dawe is always an amazing narrator!
"Best so far!!!!"
I loved this book....I was unsure if I would like Hawk with Sienna but the author just pulled me in. I am starting Caressed by Ice which I am sure I will love. Thanks Audible...more of this author!!
I love to read but with my busy schedule I barely get a chance to. However, audiobooks allow me to "read" while I manage my crazy life.
"Singh does not disappoint!"
Wow! This book was so much and more! Sienna has been pushing Hawke's buttons since she was 16 and new to the world of changeling life. A psy by birth, she is one of the powerful types of psy's that can do a lot of damage to herself and to those around her.
Now 19, she has lived in Snowdancer community for a few years having mostly integrated to their ways and customs while she struggles for control of her powers. As if that isn't enough of a daily battle, she is utterly smitten by the alpha of the pack whom she believes sees her as a delinquent adolescent.
Hawke is a true alpha male in every sense of the word. Having become the alpha wolf of the Snowdancer pack at an early age, he has helped his pack grow and prosper into a strong and superior changeling community that has formed many strong alliances with other changeling groups in the surrounding area. Since accepting a family of psy's into their midst three years ago, he has struggled for control over the unruly teenager who sparks something within him he hasn't felt in a long time.
Singh does a fantastic job with this story. We have been skirting around the issue and tension that is Hawke and Sienna for nine books and finally their book is released and it is beautiful! There is a lot of ground that needs to be covered due to the events of the previous book. In addition, Sienna and Hawke's tale had a lot to live up to and a lot of background that Singh needed to be sure to remain consistent with in terms of her loyal fans.
This book does not disappoint and I would say for any who hasn't read the psy-changeling novels, to start with book one and work your way to this lovely treat of happy goodness. You will be glad you did.
Narrator: Angela Dawe
Performance: 5/5
I like the consistency in which the series has had the same narrator throughout. Dawe does a great job with the reading and the character voices. It isn't like she is trying to mimic different voices, but more that she does a good job with distinction making it easier for me to know which character is saying what.
I enjoy reading series and very rarely read stand alone series. I mostly read romance and sci-fi & fantasy.
"The best so far"
Yes I would. This is the best of the series. Nalini Singh has out done herself. It was full of suspense and love. It had me biting my nails and roaring with laughter at parts. You got to see a new side of all the main characters and how the previous matted pairs act outside their own story. Very good.
Towards the end when Hawk realized that he might loose Sienna. And he chose to not to let her go.
I'm in love with her. She is probably one of the best Narrators I have ever listened to. I have listened to all of the books in the series. And she always rises to my expectations.
"Strong Characters, interesting story"
Angela Dawe is an excellent narrator. She brings the strong characters to life. I love the world that Nalini Singh has created and the tension created by the Psi race. The author asks interesting questions.
When Hawke admits at the end that Sienna was right about their relationship. I like that he chose to answer her in such a way as to strengthen their bond.
Angela is excellent a portraying strong men who have a tender side and a good sense of humor. I would miss the humor if I just read the book.
I loved the secondary love story with Walker and Laura. I hurt for Walker and how he viewed himself as less. I love watching the psi characters heal.
"Fabulous Book...."
I just love the Hawke's story and have been waiting for this one for a couple years now. It was worth the wait its a fantastic story. I wish these guys had their own series..
"My Favorite Out the Series!!!!!!"
Fire meets ice.
Honestly I don't know what I can compare this book too.
She just does the character voices sooooo well.
This is my favorite book in the series. I have listened to it at least 7 times. I love the way things just kept building up and how they didn't just fall right into each other. The hero was having a hard time of letting go in his mind but his heart knew what was really right for him and the heroine who is really strong knew how to push buttons and keep it moving without seeming like she was desperate for him.
"Not one of her best books"
I have read/listened to a many of Ms. Singh's books but for some reason this one did not rate highly among them. The story was missing something. But I did enjoy the updates on characters from previous books.
"Best one so far"
I think this is my favorite of all the books in this series. Of course I haven't read the next one but I find it hard to believe it will out do this one. Hawk and Sienna are a wonderful couple as are Walker and Lauren. Everything came together in this book. Really good romance and a huge battle. Really great characters and well thought out plot. I can't wait to see where the next one goes.
