Don't miss the other books in the Lords of the Underworld series.

"BRANDE"
I got hooked on the first Lords of the Underworld story by Gena Showalter. I adore Lucien and his story. He seems like such a scared (physically and emotionally), character with his past and internal turmoil, but Anya brings out Lucien and their story is addictive. I couldn't get enough and after reading the book I bought this audio book. Fast paced, and details come at you left and right. But truly fascinating to the last second!!!
The narrator captures the essence of the characters and made me care about them so much that I am counting the days until Lords of the Underworld 3 comes in July with Reyes' Story.
"GREAT READ!"
Author did an excellent job of developing characters throughout the series. Just enough love, sex, intrigue and turmoil. A little predictible, of course, but still a great read! Narrator is a little slow and drawn out BUT you get used to him. The only downside is that Audible does not offer all of the books in the series - I'm off to B&N to find the rest!
"Loved it"
the 2nd book in the series of the Lords of the Underworld and it lived up to the first book, hot sexy men with equally sexy women and a storyline the contuines from the first book...listen to all four... there are parts that will make you blush..LOL
"Disappointed!"
I listened to the first book in the series and while not blown-away thought there was at least enough to the story to try the second in the series. I like the puzzle of trying to figure out how things can end "happily ever after". And while this book, also, had me trying to guess how it would end, the story line was at best weak and it seemed as though the author thought that by throwing in enough "sexually explicit" encounters we would ignore the fact that the writing was weak and the heart of the story weaker. I do, however, like the narrator who in my opinion managed to at least make what there was of a story enjoyable.
I used to be an avid reader of Romance novels. I usually preferred the Harlequin & Silhouette series''. I would read several books a day over the summer and several a week during school months. I took a long break as an adult but have gotten back to it this year and am very much enjoying my Audible experience. So far I still really like general Romance but have found a real unexpected joy in Supernatural & Paranormal Romances.
"Good, though a bit confusing"
The first book in this series was really good except that I thought the main characters were a bit too into their own minds and there wasn't a lot of description of action. This book was much better with that aspect and it made it a much better book overall.
The thing that made this confusing to me was that there were jumps from one 'scene' with a set of characters to another 'scene' with different characters. These were run together closely enough to be both confusing and startling. I'm not sure if this was a narrator problem or if Gena Showalter could have done a better job delineating scenes.
Either way, it wasn't bad enough to make me dislike the book so I definitely recommend this series.
One other thing, most romance-type novels seem to be read by female narrators. I find Max Bellmore's voice lends a depth to the reading that I don't get with female readers. I really enjoy listening to him on these books.
Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
"I Highly recommend all the Lords of the Underworld"
I love this series! If you enjoy paranormal romance then look no further....this series is GREAT!
"Great book, not a lot of sex."
This is a really good book. It has a great plot and good story progression. I read a review saying that there was steamy sex in this book and I am one that loves a good sex scene. I was disappointed that there was really only one sex scene in this book as well as the others but the story is really great and worth the $ or credit. I have already listened to the first 3 books in this series and will be getting the others soon!!!

"Lucien and Anya"
Lucien and Anya are too of my favorite heroes! Their story was flowed so well, I blinked and the book was over. Lucien was strong and patient, just what every women wants! There is no way Anya, being the smart sexy gooddess that she is, could have passed him up.
