Instant Immersion: French

I think this book is for those who already know a little French. Somewhere in Chapter 2 the english translations aren't there anymore (but re-appear in later chapters). I think this audiobook can be greatly improved if it came with a written component/guide you can downlaod...Overall, if you are looking for an audiobook to boost your French, this is an OK one to have.

Instant Immersion French for anyone wanting to get straight into learning. It doesn't take you through a long English Introduction, in less than a minute you are engaged into the learning program. What I love the most out of this learning program is the rate the native speakers, speak. The French native speakers speak slowly, pronouncing each word for easy recognizability. What I also like is the fact that a native English speaker says the English meaning, after you hear the French Native speaker. By the program doing this, you know for sure what English word is actually being spoken, this is important to me because I have heard some Native French speakers say English words in learning programs and I didn't know what they said in English or French because of their beautiful accent. It is great for the price. It is over 7 hours long! Too many French Audiobooks are not long enough, you have to get many in order to keep learning, with Instant Immersion French, you will learn a bundle from on program. Many people may not care about the tone of the speakers, but as for me, their tones are very peaceful and comforting to hear, it's easy for me to pop in the cd and really let it soak in. I have had programs where the speakers sounded angry and as if they really didn't want to be making the French program, I wouldn't want to listen to that. For the price of only one credit at Audible.com, it really is a deal, what you find in this one audiobook is worth several others combined. Once you burn it to a cd, you can easily go from lesson to lesson with ease. French is a amazing and beautiful language, and I am so happy I found Instant Immersion French here. Take care!

I took 3 years of French in junior high and haven't used it since. It's been twenty years and when I got this I didn't think I would remember much. This audio helps me remember words and sentences easily. I learned a lot of new words too. For the price, this is great! I wish they were all Unabridged though.

Very clear vocalization, very good enunciation, easy to follow, inspires the learner to learn the language because the narrators make it sound 'doable'.

I love it. It's very versatile and covers a wide variety of topics.

I listened to it and it is cool, but it is missing a very important thing: a pdf guide. I am a beginner and I assume it was meant for beginner learners of French. How can I make the full use of it if I know nothing about the spelling or the shape of things said in the audio. I hope something will be done about it.
It would be really a perfect audio had it been accompanied by a pdf guide for the most important things.
