Louise Rennison caused a sensation with this hilarious book that has been called Bridget Jones' Diary for adolescents. Narrator Stina Nielsen brilliantly fills the shoes of one of the most colorful young adult book characters in years.

"A spectacular YA debut." (Publishers Weekly)
"Anyone who's ever ridden the roller coaster of adolescence will relate to 14-year old Georgia Nicholson's hysterically funny journal." (Seventeen)
"It will take a sophisticated reader to enjoy the wit and wisdom of this charming British import, but those who relish humor will be satisfied. Fresh, lively, and engaging." (School Library Journal)
"You know when you really should stop laughing and everyone is looking at you? This was me reading the manuscript on the train. This is a brilliant book!...I can't recommend it highly enough." (The Guardian)
"Hilarious listen for pre-teens and adults"
This is a hilarious story about the everyday happenings of a British 14-year-old. The British slang and wonderful narration would be worth the listen even without the entertaining story. The references to Georgia's cat never failed to make laugh out loud, and Georgia's madcap shenanigans were a great portrayal of the teenage psyche. One word of warning, however-- there is a LOT of British slang that may be confusing for those not familiar with it. There is a "glossary" at the end that explains it, but that is of limited usefulness in an audio format. Teens and folks with limited British exposure might do better to enjoy this one in print, but whatever the format this is not one to miss!
"Best. Audio. Book. Ever."
This book can only be describes as genius, crazy and so funny you might pee your pants. I was on the bus looking like an insane person laughing my ass off to this book. Buy it, better yet buy the book version so you can read along.
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
Gallagher Girls Series By Ally Carter
One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
No, but I thought she did a fantastic job. Her tone and inflection perfectly imitated that of a very pissed off but hilarious cheeky teenager.
Yes, unfortunately life got in the way
Fantastic movie, book and the audiobook really did it justice.
"Wonderful Narration!"
The story really is great, but I'm in love with Stina Nielson's narration. She really brings Georgia to life, and reminds me of some of my favorite comedians from BBC Radio 4. I enjoyed the diary/journal format, as well. It kept things punchy and succinct, so Georgia never becomes as annoying and hate-able as a silly, self-obsessed teenager ought to be. As she as can manage to do something dreadful, you're into another entry where she's correcting her actions, or at least suffering for them.
"BEST BOOK"
I LO0VED THIS BOOK I SWEAR IT IS THE BEST GIRL BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I COULD READ IT 10000000 TIME AND I WOULD SILL LAUGH MY SCOKS OFF!!!
"So fun!"
I read this book when I was younger and I absolutely loved it. I decided to get the audio version and Stina Nielson completely brought it to life for me! I LOVE Louise Rennison's Georgia Nicolson books. They are so hilarious and so much fun. I have downloaded the rest of the series and I've been laughing through all of them. Don't pass up this fun (and funny!) book. Even as an adult, I still love to read and re-read this series.
"Don't go in expecting deep!"
This is the first in the series written by Rennison - and do not expect there will be any deep subject matter! If you were ever a teenage girl...you will relate to many of the entries that Georgia makes in her diary. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as a get away from more serious or sober subject matter.
"Self-Centered Teenage Girls--Honest and Hilarious"
The antics of Georgia Nicolson, as related through her diary, are especially hilarious when read aloud by Stina Nielson. Something of the essential English-ness of Georgia and her mates is translated much more effectively through the audio format than the printed word.
There's nothing high-brow about this book--no overwhelming or enlightened commentary about the human condition. Rather, it is the human condition of one 14-year-old school girl, told in open, honest, and unforgettable prose. Being 14 and in the throes of luurrve was never so much fun.
"Hilarious"
Hilarious read for anyone who has been a 14 year old girl!
