"Boring & nothing new"
After about 2 hours I just couldn't take any more. He loves to use his phrase "your nuts" and doesn't go more than about a minute or two saying "your nuts this" or "your nuts that." It becomes very annoying and distracting. We all KNOW that he is playing with he own double-entendre when he says "protect your nuts" or "don't let go of your nuts" or "trust your nuts". It's clever, I guess. But after hearing him say some clever variation of what he obviously is trying to make his own coined term, 500 times in a couple hours I get the impression he is more focused on marketing and self-promotion than actually helping men "who don't have any nuts" or "who gave their nuts to their wives". In fact, I am very convinced that that is exactly his goal in writing this book. He came up with the title FIRST, figured it would be his ticket to fame
And fortune, and Phil and Dr Oz, so he wrote a bunch of pablum to create a book. I'm likely asking Audible to take it back so I can use my credit on a real self-help book.
"The Secret Man Bible"
Yes, without a doubt. The information is beyond anything any man has ever told me. This is a must read if you find your N.U.T’s might have been raised in an estrogen world. This is a life changing book and I will read / listen on a regular basis for the rest of my life. This book will be shared with my boys, my male friends and has changed my life.
None. Throughout my life I have not found a more powerful book that this. This is the “Man Owners Manual” For men only. It’s like getting a new man gadget / toy, opening a box getting out your tools and putting it together, but something’s wrong it’s not working. What do I do before calling the manufacture? Read the Trouble Shooting Section. “Consider this book The (which I would never admit) complete Trouble Shooting Section of being a man and how to fix it.
He mentioned behavior things I have done or said, which I’m not proud of. Hearing it from another man really hit home. I am eternally grateful.
Thank you! I wish I had this book 25 years ago. This changed my life and the total respect for Mr. Levine. In a way I guess you could say that; who ever you are Wayne Levine I think of you as the father I never had.
"Essential for the Man You Want to Be."
Hold On to Your N.U.T.s is a must for Men who want to be at their best.
Lately, men's roles in society have been shaped by wrong-thinking ideals and narrowly focused group-think. Hold On to Your N.U.T.s gives you the tools to navigate through these "barriers" and come out the Man you want to be. You will become a Man that leads, loves and nutures, all the while, holding true to your N.U.T.s (Non-negotiable, Unalterable Terms).
Hold On to Your N.U.T.s will benefit ALL of your relationships and show you the power you have to be a Better Man...in your marriage, for your kids, your family, and, most of all, for yourself.
A man is judged by his actions. Period. So, get to work!
"Every Man's Simple guide to finding freedom!"
I am listening to it right now again. This is an ongoing life reference book. The first time introduces you to the ideas, but then you book mark all the tools and refer back when you need a little help or reminder, especially when challenged by your children, work, your woman, whatever.
The Way of the Superior Man. Although quite different in approach, they both lead a man to becoming a lot more solid, steady, calm and strong emotionally so they can handle any situation that comes their way.
The pace was good and his voice is filled with passion for the topic, so that makes it easy on the ears.
I liked the personal stories as I related to many of them.
"Training for Men with Smart*ss women"
Stop playing not to lose.
Any good book on writing that informs people first and foremost to stop telling people about their book, start writing it. People blow all their energy on talking about what they want to do. Its the peril of the opportunity of choice.
He provokes strong emotions in men who read this book. Part of the charm is his delivery, but obviously men get more out of his frank style than women like me get.
She doesn't need to know. Don't tell her what you intend, just take action. This book is politically incorrect on the surface and solidly female supportive underneath.
This book brought to a complete stop putting doing things on the installment plan --- doing the "yes dear" and then having whatever the "dear" wanted slide off the priority list and into history.
"Reach down and grab them!"
I highly recommend this book for any man who wants to improve himself as well as his relationships with others. If you're looking for sound advice on how to gain control of the 'little boy' inside yourelf and start living like the man you want to be, listen to this book. It's a book that you can quickly listen to in one setting, but you'll want to keep referring to it whenever you need encouragement and direction.
