Organizing from the Inside Out

This book was great. I followed the steps and have cleaned up my home office area, and kept it neat! When I go to do another area, I'll listen to it again. Really made a difference from the other times I have tried to organize.

Effective, practical, informative.

It gave me an exact process to follow with examples that pertained to all different areas of my life.

Narrator was great and pleasant to listen to.

How to take each and every room in my home and areas in my life and attack them one at a time.

I didn't get much out of this book. It is too short and didn't give me any tangible tips on organizing. It seemed to be more the internal psychology of messiness ... asking you to write down goals and seeing which "type" of messy personality you fall into. I kept waiting to hear about actual systems I could use - it wasn't until the end that she discusses putting things in attractive containers and using nice labels.

I got much more out of Dave Allen's 'Getting Things Done' which talks about filing techniques, 43 folders, task list management, etc.. Perhaps the unabridged book has more? The author does an excellent job narrating, however.

I like this so well that I bought the hard cover book as well. It is short and to the point. I listened to it on a trip to the city in an afternoon and back. I have been trying to organize a friend's house for about a year, and will have her read it before I do any more work for her. I am sure it will make the difference.

Very good audiobook for getting life back on track...if you buy Time Management from the same author then you won't find much difference in the two books though the ideas are very useful.

I bought this book because I follow Julie Morgenstern on twitter and she always posts the most helpful tweets. This book was great too. Quick and to the point, smart, and insightful.

I like the information presented very reasonable and logical. Only thing I didn't like was she give a web site from the "case" to look up. Didn't buy the case so didn't get the place to go. It would have been better to get that info.
