What follows is a trail of tears and remembrance as the Posleen retrace the footsteps of their ancestors in a search for their homeworld. A search to determine if the Posleen posess the one thing no Human would give them credit for: a soul. Returned to their beginnings, the question remains: Is there a new path for the Tular Posleen?

"Different but good"
Definitely not what I was expecting... Posleen heroes, but a good read nevertheless.
"Alien religiou conversion story does not ring true"
This is the only lame book in the series. Converting aliens into any religion that will stick to make them peaceful? This seemed to work great for humans, didn't it?
Because of the lame plot, not much could be done developing the characters, and it shows. Particularly the super AI ditzy-nagy ship-woman character is below contempt. Same for the alien horse priest, his son and wife, and pretty much the rest of the cartoonish characters.
It contrasts dramatically with the other books, my hopeful guess is that Tom Kraftsman, and not John Ringo, have done most of the writing (or the plot?) So, 2 stars for the story, but the reading performance alleviates the pain.
Thanks Audible for your continued support of "This Week in Tech" over at TWiT.tv
"Sorta religion and sci-fi mixed"
This is the book you should read after the Watch on the Rhine and Yellow eyes but before Cally's War and Sister Time, I might have mentioned before that its after Sister Time but it makes more sense to read it before that.
This book is back with the Posleen and Humans, sorta after the ending of the other 2 books written by the same 2 people, Watch on the Rhine and Yellow Eyes - there are some good characters back here and some new ones also, but there is this whole religion thing along with this book and the other 2 (the rest of Ringos stuff isnt like this) and really its not needed, I mean who would believe in religion anymore after its proven that everything that your religion is made of is false, the Aliens say they are false because they have been around since Humans were living in caves - how then can anyone be so stupid as to believe in it anymore? this should have been left out of the books and is the reason the story gets a 3 out of 5 stars.
There is this journey to find the Posleen home world and how its sosposta help the Posleen become more normal and not kill everyone they meet, things happen along the way that are not expected but in the end fit into the story pretty good.
This is like the other 2 books Watch on the Rhine and Yellow Eyes, if you didnt like those you probably wont like this one and really all 3 can be skipped if you are reading the Aldenata Series of books, but look at my other reviews for the correct order to read them in
