"Starts slow but finishes well"
It took a few chapters to grab my interest but it got better from there. The story is well written and well performed. Good strong believable characters. I recommend it.

"Ear Candy"
If you could sum up After Tex in three words, what would they be?and bag of chips
What did you like best about this story?This book has something interesting going with the characters throughout. Uncomplicated story. New characters are swapped in and out and the main story line is interesting and fun throughout. You don't have to think alot or go back for you can keep with it. It's just cheap fun.
Which scene was your favorite?The scenes with kid for I got quite a tickle out of her.
Any additional comments?There are a few topics and characters that come in and never go anywhere and dangling storylines and references that the author seems to have started and forgot about that are a bit unnerving. This should be a series, but I am guessing that many people tell this author that.

What other book might you compare After Tex to and why?I don't believe I've ever read a comparable book to After Texk, because of te ways it touches the heart and shows just how very much the values we grow up with assist us through life.
What does Christina Traister bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?Small town roots are alway wiwth you no matter the direction life drives us.

"Ho Humm Predictable"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?There was nothing new in this story, just a rehash of formula romance. In a word, boring!
What do you think your next listen will be?Something more contempory, like from THIS century. I'm liking Elin Hilderbrand lately.
What three words best describe Christina Traister’s voice?Narrator was fine, likeable.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from After Tex?Oh geez, maybe the part where the heroine plays a mega successful morning show replica of Martha Stewart and she does not cook or do crafts? Plus she runs a magazine of the same? I remember Diann Cannon doing the same in a movie from the '70's.
