Charlene's career left no time for exotic playboys. Then she found herself under Drey's roof, in need of his protection - and a victim of his seductive charms. But when the late senator's secrets - and Drey's true identity - were uncovered, would Drey face the betrayals in his past, and his future as a Braddock, with Charlene by his side?

"Need More Brenda Jackson Books on Audible"
I totally enjoyed this book. I was hesitant at first because I prefer to read the actual book instead of listening to audio. Actually I find it boring. However the narrator did a good job with it and she had me hooked. I am still going to buy the hard copy, as I am collector of Brenda's books. I look forward to hearing more books from Brenda Jackson on Audible (especially something from Westmoreland, Steele, Madaris family).

"Finally - Brenda Jackson on Audible!"
I have been waiting years for harlequin to release some of Brenda Jackson's books on audible. This particular title is part of a series but stands on it's on. The romance is dead on and the suspense is just as awesome. You can't go wrong with this book - enjoy!
"Not great, but enjoyable"
For a short story, it met my expectations. There were scenes that I hadn't experienced from a romance before that were pretty intimate & racy. The narrator's accent was a little thick and the plot was pretty predictable but I enjoyed the dynamic between the main characters.
book diva
"it was pretty good"
sure its a good listen
i am not sure
no i would not her voice rubbed me the wrong way
no
"Story was a rehash..."
This story was a rehash of several I have read in the past not new of original. Don’t spend you money. The narrator did a great job and I would like to hear from her again.
"narrator was not good"
This was not one of my favorite Brenda Jackson books
They should have used someone else to read, took me a while to get into it.
???
"Great Book, Very Erotic"
I have not read the printed version, but I loved the audible one because the voice change made the scene changes believable.
The erotic scenes and the way they were described.
No, but I enjoyed the voice.
Absolutely.
Likes to read and now to listen to many different area of books. Interested in more books. Open to suggestions.
"Pamela B."
I liked that Drey was torn between doing his job and protecting his mother. He also had a inner fear that the new family would not except him but being the manly man he was he could not face that but Charlene saw through the brave front.
I've always liked mystery and suspense. I tried to figure it out before it was revealed. I was right. I would love to go digging around and try to uncover evidict to solve a crime.
Yes, she was pretty good.
When Drey discovered that Charlene is a virgin he continued to make her first time special. And kept his word to please her throughout the night.
"Object of his Protection"
What I loved about this book, was that Dre was smooth and very attactive in his approach. Charlene being inexperience made it easy for her to discovery of new love and feelings exciting.
I love DRE
Smooth, Likeable, and clear
The book kept you wanting to know why, what, and how. The book involved you into the mystery.
"Couldn't finish"
I could not finish this book. I quit on the eighth chapter. The author spent the entire first seven chapters writing about the sexual tension between the two main characters. Enough already...let's move on and develop the storyline!
