"I Can Never Get Enough Of James Herriot's Stories"
I have loved the James Herriot collection for years and am now ecstatic to have it on my iPod. All his stories elicit a 'feel good' feeling for the listener with his brilliant writing and subject matter. Add Christopher Timothy's ability to make it all come to life in audio and you've got a winning combination over all.

"What an enjoyable experience!!"
I read the "All Creatures Great and Small" books quite a few years ago, and enjoyed them then. However, I was not aware of this one. What a pleasure - what a hoot! (This is true of all of his books). I laughed aloud numerous times, and at one point had to pause my player - I was laughing so hard. My husband came into the room and asked, "what are you laughing at?" During his time in the RAF, Herriot ruminates about his veterinary practice. Therefore, the story is a series of "flashbacks". Some stories are sad, but most are very funny. Like the story of the "very proper" lady who has a dog named Cedric with a "flatulence problem", and after he passes the gas, he turns around to look at his tail!! When she has guests at her house, the situation is very embarrassing, and she wants him (Herriot) to do something about it! I will definitely purchase the "All Creatures" books, even though I read them years ago. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this author. The narrator is, I believe, the same fellow that played Herriot in the TV series. Great job, Mr. Timothy! Perfect!
"Another great listen!"
Absolutely loved this audio book by James Herriot! The reader does an excellent job. The stories (as usual for James Herriot) are down-home friendly and interesting. I hightly recommend it! Marlene
