Snapped: A Novel

You know, I can appreciate a good series, but for the story to just end abruptly like that makes me feel like I got jipped. I mean when you read the description for the story, you're waiting on Camille to snap, hell I feel she has more than enough reason. And if her sister was gonna snap, it should've been on that crazy ass man she was seeing. I'm disappointed and I wish I could refund this. Not happy with this book. Not happy at all...

The both the narrator and the editor were terrible; it seems like the narrator had trouble reading the story and they didn't even bother to correct the mistakes.

As for the actual story, it was just okay. I think there too many "main characters" and as other reviewers mentioned, the ending sucks. It's like the author just got tired of writing or something.

I was so into this book that I could not wait to hear the sequel to this one. Very well developed characters and I could feel all the emotion of each character and their personal dillemmas. This was like the black mafia and the drama made it so easy to follow.

Go ahead and read this first one because part 2 just gets even better!! I love this book!!

My first read was "White Lines" and I instantly became a Tracy Brown fan! It was superb and one of my favorite novels. I guess had I not read "White Lines", I would not have expected so much from Snapped. The two definitely cannot compare. I must say, if I had not ordered the audio version of Snapped, I probably would have never finished the book. It was very slow from the beginning until almost the end. If I had purchased the hardcopy instead, I'm sure it would have more than likely ended up on my book shelves in the "never finished" collections. To say the least, I was disappointed. The plot was very predictable and the ending was too much like a Friday soap opera.The only reason, I will tune in on Monday and read Snapped part 2 is in hope Camille will gain vendication f/ her heartless and shallow husband's deceit. Tracy Brown, please redeem yourself in Snapped 2!

Ok this book kept my interest but it ends like a soap opera cliff hanger (only you dont get to see the next show in 24 hours). I was actually wondering if the last chapter was missing. The narrator's voice is ok but she reads as if she never practiced but picked up the book and just got going. Her voice rises and falls at the wrong time...and she actually repeated a phrase.

This books keeps you interested then JUST ENDS. I have a lot of questions that went unanswered. Narrator does repeat a phrase once, I think even twice. Overall, I guess I will be waiting for part II if there is one.

This book was such a great read I was right on track until the end.....the end was a OMG moment....loved it

I really enjoyed listening to this book the stroy line was great and easy to listen because it sounded like a "girl" I know

Im downloaded aftermath and already listening but im not as happy with who ever is doing the reading.....but the start is great....

The story is simply not well put together. There is a lot that happens in the story but it reads like a high school drama. This book seems to want to be a cross between "The Godfather" and "Waiting to Exhale" and fails at both. And the narrator is not good at all. She seems to struggle through out the book. Finally, I do not understand some of the choices that the editor made. For instance, at one point there is the sound of a real gunshot. Then, in another scene, the narrator just makes the sounds of a weapon discharging. Both times it brings the reader out of the world created by the author and the reader thinks, "why did they just do that?" Skip this book.
