David Tennant brings these enthralling stories to life brilliantly! Both my 10 year old and I were captured by this story. The stories are fantastic, but David Tennant makes them a joy to listen to.

"I've never seen my nieces so enthralled"
What made the experience of listening to How to Be a Pirate the most enjoyable?David Tennant is an awesome narrator. The story is already fantastic, but he puts such gusto, feeling, and humour into his voice that listening to is a million times better than me reading it. I put it on and curled up at night with my 2 nieces and listened to this. I have never seen them so enthralled by anything before.

Have you listened to any of David Tennant’s other performances before? How does this one compare?All of David tennant's performances are awesome. This is just as fantastic as any of them. I hope he continues to narrate more children's stories.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?My nieces held their breath and were wide eyed with anticipation about once every chapter.
Any additional comments?I would really love to see audible release the Unabridged version. But for now, this abridged version is still fun and perfect for an Aunt's one week visit.

"Narrator enhances an already fun story"
David Tennant is clearly having a ball while narrating this book. His enthusiasm is contagious and my kids absolutely are enthralled with this audiobook. They've listened to it several times in the last month. The story is fun (albeit simplistic) and the characters are memorable. If you enjoyed the first book then by all means get this one as well.

"Adorable"
I like kid books on occasion. Don't get into this one thinking its anything like the movie though. So long as you keep the two separate from each other its enjoyable even for adults. Very cute and adorable as well as a lot of fun.

"We couldn't stop listening!"
What made the experience of listening to How to Be a Pirate the most enjoyable?The story had some good themes. We couldn't wait to find out how Hiccup got out of the next situation and how Toothless helped him.
Who was your favorite character and why?Toothless is a funny little dragon that just keeps on giving us laughs.
Have you listened to any of David Tennant’s other performances before? How does this one compare?How to train your dragon and How to speak Dragonese. This is a good one.

"Captivating for the kids"
If you could sum up How to Be a Pirate in three words, what would they be?accents, energy, enthusiasm
Who was your favorite character and why?Hiccup, he unknowlingly gets himself into messes.
What does David Tennant bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?the great accents!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?YESSS!!!!!!!!!!! (Mom wouldn't let the boys though; she wanted to stretch it out a bit)!

"I know they are for kids but I still love em"
What did you love best about How to Be a Pirate?David Tennant does a GREAT job as narrator. I love toothlesse's voice. I also love Hiccup's point of view on the rest of the hooligans. it's a love hate relationship that's always fun.
Who was your favorite character and why?Toss up between fishlegs and toothless. Both are terribly pragmatic in otherwise heroic situations. also great voices for the characters.
What about David Tennant’s performance did you like?every character has a distinct voice and everything is done so energetically.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?oh laugh. i don't know that it was extreme, but i definitely laughed.
Any additional comments?the whole series is really amusing.

Where does How to Be a Pirate rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?This is a charming book, well read by David Tennant. The story is engaging and entertaining, like easy listen in book form.
