    "Best of the trilogy"

The Night Angel Trilogy grows increasingly multi-threaded, leaving the reader wondering where Weeks is ultimately going. He finally ties almost all threads together in a memorable conclusion that is worth the effort. Narrator Paul Boehmer improves as the book goes on and finishes with fine drama.

    "let down"

I was in love with the first 2 books, but all of a sudden the author decided to deal with the hornyness of all the virgin men in this one book. Beyond that the story was nothing short of the awesomeness I had come to love in the first to, until the character minds wandered off the battle feel and on his or her wife or husband at home. The other books seemed far more balanced with love and killing and a war and kings being killed.

    "Excellent conclusion to series."

Beyond the Shadows wraps up the Night Angel Trilogy. I very much enjoyed this book, as it takes Azoth from Apprentice to hero. He must however juggle his responsibilities to his calling and his new wife. This book is the most exciting of the three, as the action is almost non stop. The conclusion wraps up most of the plot lines, but seems to leave the possibility of another book some time in the future.

Overall, I really enjoyed all three books in this trilogy. The story was very good, and Paul Boehmer is one of my favorite narrators. I would recommend this series to anyone.

    "Amazing Series"

Although the first book was relatively slow and was hard to get into, I'm glad I stuck with the series. The series was amazing and the third book was definitely the best.

The first two books were much better but this one had good spots. The story jumped around a lot but kept my interest. I enjoyed the series.

    Any additional comments?

This book wrapped up the series well. Seemed a bit like a bit too much was crammed into this book trying to tie up story archs. Overall a solid read.

"Great series enjoy the characters interactions"
Would you listen to Beyond the Shadows again? Why?

Enjoyed the first listen would be awhile before I listened again

What other book might you compare Beyond the Shadows to and why?

This book was not my normal read and I don't have that much to compare it with but I did enjoy it

What does Paul Boehmer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I must admit that Mr Boehmer was an excellent reader, he did a fine job of each character and his talent is a pleasure to listen too.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Mr Weeks had both feel good moments and emotional moments in his story, did a great job

    Any additional comments?

Look forward to reading the next one

    "Utterly amazing"

This book was captivating. I listened to all three books and loved them. I listen to books while I'm driving to work and every day I listened to this book I didn't want to leave my car. It's better than watching a movie! The whole night angel trilogy is just amazing! It's a must read/listen

"Not as good as the first."

I loved the first book. Really. But then I got to the second, and I was a little concerned. The story was ok, but it started doing what a lot of good series writing does...get melodramatic in the middle.

By the time I got to the middle of the third, I almost stopped listening. I wondered if it was the same writer. The reader is good, so it could have simply been poor direction in a production of decent writing. I don't know, but something sent the whole thing off track.

The ending redeems it somewhat, but then, I didn't like how the Wolf turned out.

    Sigh.
