Silvertongue: The Stoneheart Trilogy, Book 3

I am an adult in my 30's who is a kid at heart. I love Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Artemis Fowl and the How to Train Your Dragon books among others. This trilogy is going to be added to those as a favorite of mine. Even though I had an idea of what the end would bring, I was still on pins and needles. Jim Dale is great as always and he adds tension and levity where called for. I would absolutely recommend this.

Book 3 of The Stoneheart Trilogy, Silvertongue is absolutely my favorite and took me to knew levels of intrigue. In this book, Fletcher was able to bring together many loose ends that were left unanswered in the first 2 books. He masterfully wove all the details together, and kept the pace going. There was never a dull moment, and it was intriguing. My favorite part was the dragon that came alive and helped them out in unexpected ways. There were so many twists and turns, that the story was totally unpredictable and I was surprised at every turn. Book 3, made it worth the effort of sludging through book 1 and then 2. The author also did a much better job in this book, by keeping the point of view much cleaner. When a new point of view was introduced, the author started a new chapter for the most part. These clean breaks, made the book much more accessible and less confusing. It appears that Fletcher learned from the mistakes made in book 1. I would encourage all to read, this series as the ending is enjoyable. Family friendliness is 5 out of 5 for this entire series, this is definitely oriented towards kids and older youth as well.

Only in book 3 was I able to get used to his thick British accent. Also, he never pauses between when the author switches point of view. It makes it even more difficult to follow if your just listening.
