I love Will because of his non-stop pursuit of perfection at his trade, and because of his love and gratefulness for the people in his life.

I really appreciate his talent with the voices. The recording is a little unprofessional as you hear him swallowing and breathing at each new chapter.

The battle, when Will was diving and firing and picking off the enemy.

Great series, I love it.

Apart from the price, this book is a wonderfuly fast paced and action paced. It deserves a five star rating along with the ranger's apprentice series.

have #6 & 7 of the series. However, my library doesn't either, so it may be that they were never recorded. I don't know. The author writing is so interesting & captivating, adding twists & turns to the plot that are unexpected. He has developed the characters so well and is so consistent with them throughout the series to the point where I feel like I almost know them in person!

I like a bit of romance, but I LOVE that there is no smut or language in the books, yet I am a grandmother and still totally enjoy this series.

I hope that John Flanagan writes other series as well!

This book is really book 2 of 3. The first Ranger's Apprentice book stands alone, but books 2-4 are really one continuing story. My only complaint about the book is that Flanagan begins using a bit more profanity--not what I want in a young adult selection. We like to listen to audio books in the car, and I don't want my 6-year old to start repeating some of the vocabulary. I do want my 13-year old to start using some of the vocabulary--not the profanity, of course--but Flanagan does a nice job of getting a bit of advanced vocabulary into a young adult read. Flanagan's story telling continues to be quite good, and Keating's reading of the story is quite brilliant. We will be moving on after book 4 to something more appropriate for my 6-year old, but the Ranger's Apprentice series has been very good.

This is up there as one of the best. Great listen for the whole family.

This was actually dry, Most of the Climaxes fell short of any real excitement. I found it hard to keep interested in it.
