    "Here Be Witches"

Mia Farrow does a fine job of narrating this novel, as well as putting her own spin on the various characters' voices. Her performance of Minnie Castevet is a highlight--she manages to make her sound simultaneously comical and frightening. Despite having seen the film many times, it was great fun to listen to this audiobook and to picture oneself in poor Rosemary's shoes: Is she suffering from a pregnancy-induced paranoia, or are these neighbors of hers part of a witch's coven?

    "Well Written, Great Fun"

I liked this audio book. The narrator, who also starred in the movie, does a great job. The story is 70's horror fun. Well written. Story about a witches coven living in an apartment building and they want Rosemary's baby. You've probably seen the old movie but the book is much better. Spooky and a little weird and good listen!!!!!!

This audiobook is even better than the movie and even more enjoyable for being read by Mia Farrow.

the moments when rosemary made her "discoveries". the writer did a good job of making them suspensful.

What about Mia Farrow’s performance did you like?

oh she was great!! she brought the book alive.

    Any additional comments?

i read the book years ago and i have seen the movie. the audiobook beats them both.

"Mia Farrow Breathes New Life Into Levin's Baby"

I used to give full credit for the wonder of the film version of Ira Levin's, "Rosemary's Baby," to Roman Polanski alone. Now having heard Mia Farrow's narration, I am , for the first time, able to really enjoy the book. Levin's book always seemed to me to be the barest of bones, and left me, like so many horror novels, feeling dissatisfied in the extreme.

Well, my hat is off to Mia Farrow, who manages to bring enough of her Rosemary Woodhouse magic to give this thin volume much more excitement than I ever thought it could have. To me, it is like a different book; a book I now look forward to listening to again. I now actually feel quite enthusiastic about it. If you are considering downloading this, please do...don't bother with the print edition. Let Mia Farrow charm you and run away with your imagination. In my humble opinion, she elevates this to the highest level it will ever reach, off the screen. What a delight!

"Rosemary's Baby narrated by the woman herself :)"
What made the experience of listening to Rosemary's Baby the most enjoyable?

It was Mia Farrow. I enjoyed the movie a lot, having seen that first. But there were things that weren't touched in the movie that were revealed in the book

What did you like best about this story?

I liked everything. Maybe except the party scene, but everything else was enjoyable :)

What about Mia Farrow’s performance did you like?

I liked how she read Minnie. It's funny that she also corrects herself in the way she said "basil" XD

    "Rosemary's Baby"
Would you consider the audio edition of Rosemary's Baby to be better than the print version?

No, although I did really enjoy it, I just prefer to read things myself. Mia did a fabulous job in my opinon and I do not regret buying this title.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rosemary. She's just a fun character and it is entertaining to see what lengths she goes through to prove that something is not right with things. I've always liked the movie as well as the book.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Right around the birth of Rosemary's baby.

If you could rename Rosemary's Baby, what would you call it?

    I don't know.

    Any additional comments?

This is a good audio book and I enjoyed it. I however prefer to read myself, therefore this subscription is just not for me and even if I did love it, I would not pay $14.95 a month (or more!) for it, just not worth it to me. But I'm glad I checked it out and gave it a chance. The two books I tried were good. Thanks! : )

    "WOW! A GREAT STORY"
If you could sum up Rosemary's Baby in three words, what would they be?

    Scary, scary, scary!

What did you like best about this story?

I liked this book the first time I read it when I was a lot younger than now. Now, when I listened to it, it was even better. I'm an avid reader from Audible, and this was right at the top of my listening list. Great story. It's at the top of my "can't put down" books.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The "birthing" scene, just great.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Couldn't stop listening. A rare feeling for me. I have listened to many, many books and this book made me scared of sounds in my condo.

    Any additional comments?

Just a really good listen. But be prepared to listen more than you planned because it's REALLY, REALLY SCARY!

    "Ugh."
    Any additional comments?

After an hour or so of listening, I couldn't take it anymore.  Her voice made me want to dig my eardrums out with a rusty nail, stomp on them in high heels, light them on fire, then feed them to a feral cat.Someday I may try and read the book...but only when Mia Farrow's voice is forever gone from my memory.

    "Excellent!!!"

I loved watching the movie, "Rosemary's Baby," with Mia Farrow, but it was an extra added treat to have Mia narrate the story. I LOVED Mia's performance, just as I enjoyed her in the movie.

This is definitely worth adding to the library.
