Not much in her hometown seems to have changed, but within the dark woods of Emmitsboro something evil spreads its poisonous power. Now the once-peaceful town is wrapped in a cloak of terror, hiding a treacherous heart. And now Clare must pay the price for digging up the secrets of the past...and confront an evil that may be unstoppable, because those who practice it believe it is divine.

"This is one of my favorite books!"
Boy am I glad to see Nora Roberts at Audible! She is an excellent author and this is one of my favorite books! Divine Evil is the first non-category romantic suspense novel that Nora Roberts wrote! It has great characters, a twistly plot line, some wonderful romance, and some nightmares, too. And, you will not figure out whose behind all the problems in that little town! Wonderful book! I highly recommend it!
"Enjoyed It"
Another good book from Nora Roberts. I've just read a few of her books and wanted to hear this one since it was not a romance. Contains lots of action, interesting characters, and a good story. Excellent reader.
"Hard to put down"
I have always been a Nora Roberts fan, she's a fantastic author and once again she did not fail to entertain me. In fact, I was disappointed it was over!
Some of the characters were a bit flimsy, a little too stero-typical. Also, of the "bad" guys, some were quite easy to just pinpoint from the beginning but others were a total shock. Loved it all and can't wait to get more by Nora Roberts.
The narrator did an excellent job, very believable and easy to distinguish between the various characters.
PS, enjoyed the narrator so much I'm looking at other books she reads just because she read them.
"fantastic"
This book was great, I could listen to it again, it kept you on the edge and new angles all the time. Hard to stop the engine to my truck to stop listening.
"A somewhat atypical Roberts book."
As I read this book, things kept sounding more and more familiar. I went to the author's website and it turns out I was correct; this book was loosely based in the town of Boonsboro, Maryland. The storyline was gripping and it was difficult to stop listening! There were new 'surprises' throughout the book, so it wasn't totally predictable. I enjoy the Nora Roberts as well as J.D. Robb (her pseudonym) and wish Audible would get more of the Roberts and all of the Robb books (there currently aren't ANY and I've sent in several requests). I am just glad that they had this one...I loved it!
"Too Creepy"
Nora Roberts has such a WIDE range of stories. I've loved so many of her titles, and wish Audible would pick up ones like Northern Lights, Angels Falls or Blue Smoke. Divine Evil was just too creepy for me to take. Couldn't get past the satanist stuff. The fact that I actually believe evil people exist in this world took me too far into the realm of reality, and let's face it, I read Nora Roberts to ESCAPE reality! If you're like that...skip this one.
"great read..."
I listened to this book every evening during a 200 mile hike. Sometimes it was so interesting I didn't want to turn off the iPod and go to sleep.
The narrator had a pleasant voice and was able to successfully make the change from one character to another.
The story was interesting and exciting.
"Exciting and fun"
What a great time!
A fast-paced, really interesting plot and a great narration. I listen on the way to work, and found myself circling the parking lot because I didn't want to stop listening!
It's got everything--the beautiful, spunky heroine, the ex-badboy cop, a small town with evil lurking around every corner. . .who could ask for more?

"not quite evil enough"
It was all right. The head jumping was unnerving, and the characters were a bit too cute while the story tried to be dark and never really got there. I did enjoy the ending, but this isn't really one I'd recommend.
"Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Filling"
This book is like eating chocolate cake with raspberry filling. It is pure fun and excitement. It has suspense, drama, and romance.
