Lady Imogene Norwood lives a sheltered life of quiet respectability and routine - until she meets the wild and broken Lord Atwood. He is wholly unexpected among London's elite, and the very shy English rose suddenly realizes that a little chaos might just be what her heart desires.
Lord Nathaniel James Atwood doesn't believe true love exists. Since scandal tore him away from his family at an early age, he has spent his life fighting for what he wants. That attitude has made him a rising star in bare-knuckle boxing, and now leads him back to London to reclaim the life that was stolen from him. But upon meeting the innocent Imogene, his beliefs are trounced - as guarding his heart against her proves to be the fight of his life.

Historical romance junkie. Who doesn't love romance?
"The narrator is so awful the story suffers."
First let me say that I am a Delilah Marvelle fan, her books are always great. I was so excited to see this book in audible form and was so disappointed when it started. The narrator was so awful. I don't want to be mean but I asked two other people to give a listen just to see if it was "just me". It wasn't. They agreed, it was awful.
Leslie Bellair would make a great nartator for a child's book perhaps but her extremely young voice is a bad choice for a romance. She reads really fast and flat, exuding absolutely NO personality into it. She sounds like she just wants to get through this book as quickly as possible and the listener suffers.
I had to give up after a few hours which was so disappointing because the story seems pretty good. I guess I'm on my way over to Amazon to buy the e-book.
Don't waste your credits, buy the book.
