"Spiritually deep and moving"
Not your typical Mike Talbot book but great all the same. This seems to be a darker and profound Tufo book with twists and turns in every chapter. The book keeps you guessing till the end. All I can say about Mike Talbot in this book is "Poor Guy" he just can't catch a break. Don't bother trying to figure out what is going on....you won't know until the end. Just enjoy the ride.
"EVERY EMOTION WRAPPED UP IN ONE BOOK!!!!"
Goosebumps, Gut Wrenching Heartache and Spiritual!!!
The meaning behind it and the way it made you feel and think about your life and what is important. I feel as if I know the human soul better because this book will reach everyone who reads it in some way! It is not a sappy love story or a gore fest but it will make you wonder about the things you can't see with the naked eye and question the things we can see!
I have read the book and knew I had to listen to it!!! Sean Runnette IS Mike Talbot!!! The emotions I felt were so much stronger while listening compared to reading the book. I guess it's because I feel as if I know Mike Talbot and I care for his character so hearing the voice I associate with it being him and it pulls at my heartstrings.
I am a huge Mark Tufo fan so I have soft spot for all of the characters in his books since they are based around the same people just in different stories. I have to say Mike Talbot anyway because he's AWESOME no matter what he does!!!
This book once again proves what a talented author Mark Tufo is!!! Never ( except Stephen King) have I experienced an author who can write a book so well that as soon as I start reading or listening its like I am watching the movie in my head!!!!
"Dont miss this one!!!"
If you like ghost stories, love stories, mysteries, you will love this one. I was so enthralled with this listen that I could not stop until it was finished. Just Brilliant!! I cant rave enough about my experience in this story.
A great mind bending story with a few dashes of wit made following Michael Talbot's journey a wonderful trip.
Sean Runnette is icing on the cake with his easy listen voice and perfect performance.
"Quick Wit! SarcasticlyFunny! Paramormal Mix!"
This audiobook is NOT TO BE MISSED!!! You will definitely enjoy this one. Loaded with lots of engaging courage when in the the face of dealing with situations; paranomal. And brillantly done through the use of effective and very funny, endless reservoir of quick responses, snappy comeback remarks that's guaranteed to provoke and invoke.
"He's done it again! It's gold people!"
Now while the characters are the same, not to mention the humor. Love it! The Spirit Clearing is way different, then Zombie Fallout or Indian Hill. Hell the creepy moments in this book made going to the bathroom difficult. Read the book and get the reference! I haven't felt such awe in reading a book by Mark since reading ZF 1. It really add's to the Talbot Multiverse.
Well not really a book. But the movie Memento. Never expected that ending to happen. He really strummed a tale together with this one.
Always the great and power Micheal Talbot. Sean is Micheal Talbot. Just like James Marsters is Harry Dresden.
Jandilyn of course. Do I really need to explain this ?
Ok people if you haven't fallen in love with Mark Tufo yet. What's to worry get the book. You can return it if you don't like it. Plus do you really wanna miss out on a good read ?
"Kinda dissappointing."
What I like best is Sean Runnette's performance. The story was not so great and kinda boring in places.
I love Mark Tufo books! This one seemed so very different. Actually it would have been better if it was about someone other than Michael Talbot. I have all the MT series and in this one his character was totally different. I didn't recognize him and therefore couldn't picture his face in my head.
Sean is the saving grace to this story.
No.
"Really enjoyable!"
Once again, Sean Runnette is Mike Talbot. Sean has captured the essence of Mike Talbot's character and delivers over & over. Best of all, he can do female voices well enough that one doesn't cringe or want to pitch a book at him like some male interpretations of a women's voice.
I think the only big problem I had was trying to separate this Mike Talbot with the adult Mike Talbot fighting zombie's. I really didn't enjoy this Talbot as much. I think it would have been much better to create a wholey different character.
I have loved all the books I have "read" of Mark Tufo (maybe with the exception of Timothy). The writing was strong enough to cause me to actually cry at the death of one of the characters and believe me, thats not an easy thing to do!
I truly think that if you buy this book, you will not be disappointed.
"Mark Tufo does not disappoint!!!!"
Prequel to my favorite zombie series that is as entertaining as the Zombie Fallout series. I am going to the Indian hill series next as he has not disappointed me yet. If you love rampant sarcasm, quick one liners all mixed with some drama this book is for you too!!
This book is pure entertainment at its finest. It's not going to solve world hunger or bring any epiphanies about world peace, but if you are looking to laugh and cry and get attached to characters this book is a winner.
I could not put The Spirit Clearing aside--and I did not want to do anything while I was listening for fear I would miss something, a sarcastic remark or a pivotal moment. This also resolves several question that were left hanging in the zombie fallout series. I am going to listen to them again as this reminded me how much I enjoyed them the first go round!
I went to Mark Tufo's website and I get the definite impression that he channels Mike Talbot..
"Fantastic!"
Yes! I loved the story line and it was very intense.
I would say the ending left you saying WOW!
He is by far my favorite male voice!
Mike, he goes through so much and takes you with him physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I love ALL Mark Tufo's books! One of my favorite authors. If you love The Walking Dead you will love his zombie series.
1*=I didn't like it..... 2*=It was OK...... 3*=It was good but I will never read it again.......... 4*=Maybe I will read it again in the future.............. 5*=I will definitely read it again(maybe more than once)
"Michael Talbot final ordeal"
Michael Talbot
He suffered much over the years
he lived through zombie Apocalypse, Vampire hunting, alien invasion and gladiator fights.
but there is one more ordeal he hasn't suffered yet.
PS
I want to thank Mark Tufo for all sadistic ways he thought off over the years to hurt "Michael Talbot"
