as Guinevere Jones and Zach Justice continue with Volume two~ Guines new boss Edward Vandyke hires Zach Justice to be his bodyguard. In a moment of detective business drag he agrees thinking of a nice little jaunt with Guin they are off to San Juan Islands off the coast of Seattle. But Vandycke soon nees Zach to stay close to his side as he fears his own death. This is a good mystery and romance that involves treachery AND revenge. ADDED fun is Guinevere Jones who picks "intimate" moments to discuss business~ . Guin is wondering where their romance is going. (LOL) lots of interplay between the Jones and Justice couple and a neat little *start* to the THIRD STORY in the series at the end of THIS story. I GIVE THIS 4 STARS FOR OVER ALL.....4 FOR PERFORMANCE AND 3 STARS FOR STORY. "Ms. Krentz deceives her readers"
I don't know what Ms. Krentz was thinking when she put out this series of books. Did she need an extra few dollars?
So far I've read 2 of the 4 books I bought on sale, and have been very disappointed with the plotline and the characters.
The story drags and the characters are somewhat emotionless, definitely not up to Ms. Krentz's usual high standards. Makes me think that she had a ghost writer do them or that they were written back in the late 70's or early 80's. Even the office equipment is antiquated using an electric typewriter in Ms. Jones office.
