Wisdom - the fourth book in the My Blood Approves series.
For her 18th birthday, Alice Bonham takes a vacation to Australia only to have her trip cut short by an unexpected murder. While Alice tries to understand what happened, she regrets some of the choices she's made, especially the more permanent ones. On top of that, the child vampire is running loose, and its attracting some very unwanted attention.

"Worth Reading The Entire Series ..."
Having read the entire series over five or six days, I was happy that Wisdom was worth the journey. I'll probably read this every year, and take some more time to understand Hockings' writing style.
In an odd way, Wisdom and the entire series had overtures of the Twilight series in some parts of the plot and of course the main character love triangle.
I think Friedman hit her stride in this book - this was the most convincing of her performances in the series. I found the characters better differentiated this time around.
I think the film's slogan could be:
I would not recommend reading this series of books out of order -- be prepared for the story to move slowly at times but to be thoroughly satisfying at the end.
"Ummmmm"
I am not quite sure what I should say about this book. While I enjoyed it very much, moreso than some of the others, I am unsure of the direction that it headed in. Is this the last book in this series? If so why was it so opened ended? I loved the book, but was very disapointed because I am unsure if the Journey ends here for Alice and Jack?? What about Peter? Milo? Where is this all going??? I would love some answers......another book perhaps.
"LOVED IT !!!!!! Best series ever!"
My daughters and I read the same books. They always pick out most of the books I read.I also follow their recommendations.
Just the opposite.
Wouldn't change a thing!
Excitment!
You really need to put this under the " MUST READ" section!
"Loved it!"
I absolutely would, this book is a great read and a wonderful ending to a series.
The other books in the "my Blood Approves" series.
I have not
Yes
"Such a disappointment"
I liked the fact that Hocking finally tied up some loose ends in the story that felt incomplete. I am disappointed in the fact that she is not willing to let anyone go, they are vampires after all. And I am so sick of the "Jack" thing. More drama than necessary.
I was happy she finally explained Leif, even though it was pretty obvious who he was, waiting on mom to join the family in the next book. Although I won't waste my time reading it. These books get more predictable as the series goes on.
The narrarator was pretty bad. It felt like I was sitting in a 5th grade classroom letting the kids read to me. She was so worried about her annunciation that she forgot to put any emotion into her reading...bad, bad, bad.
Nope
I think I would have preferred to read the book rather than listen to it.
Im a MA in Theatre and love a good story.
"Wisdom... Where?"
If you are going to name a book wisdom, there should be some in it right? Nope. Not a single wise choice made by any character.
I began this series because I bought it during a sale. After the first book I regretted it but I wanted to see if this amateur author picked up any speed - The Iron King series actually does (the first book was rough but it got better). But no, Alice is the same self-absorbed teenager with a blah relationship and no goals. The conflict was lame, the climax was muddled and the resolution was predictable.
Oh, and if one has a rabid 5 year old vampire who has problems attacking people, should one take it on a 15 hour plane ride? Seriously? I tried saving more brain cells from death but I think I pushed them too far. 0 stars.
