When four female angels were created for the archangels Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, and Azrael, a chaos spurned by jealousy erupted, and the archesses were secreted to Earth. The four favored archangels followed, prompting a search that has last millennia. But for Uriel, the former Archangel of vengeance, the search ends the moment he lays eyes on Eleanor Granger, his one true archess. Can he protect her from the danger lying in wait for her - and win her heart?

"With the launch of her new Lost Angels series, Killough-Walden offers... a sizzling novel populated with highly intriguing characters, not the least of which is the "villain." Good story pacing, believable characters and sizzling sex add up to an author and a series to watch!" (Romantic Time)

"WHAT A GREAT START TO A NEW SERIES"
This is a fantastic start to a series, it has lots of hot archangels, a villain you can't help but like, romance, humour and a surprise or two!
The narrator was really good, there were conversations between women and four or five men with different accents which he seemed to pull off with ease. I think his performance only added to an already good book.
Can't wait for the next three books!!!

"Interesting story, characters, and good narration"
This is my first time reading anything by Heather Killough-Walden, and I am looking forward to the next book in this series. There was some very funny dialogue that I just loved. I was also impressed with the narration by Gildart Jackson, and I'll check for more books narrated by him. In the meantime, I'll give this author's other series on audible a listen, which also has the same narrator.
Im a MA in Theatre and love a good story.
"Interesting concept spoiled by flaws"
I was eager to read this and so wanted it to be a good story but it was just so problematic from the beginning that I have to disagree from a lot of these reviews. First, before I get into the actual story, who edited this? One moment the big even they HAVE to go to is on Thursday, then it's on Saturday, then it's back to Thursday. BASIC EDITING ERROR. Seriously. And that was just the beginning.
The author established the heroine as a street-smart chick who's managed to evade an FBI-CIA style crew for a decade yet the moment she gets involved in the hot mess Uriel brings, she becomes completely clueless and continuously acts against character. A lot of her distrust is forced just to make the story work to the point that I wondered if she was just a brainless twit who thought herself a savvy powerwoman.
The archangels. Ugh. First, let's get it straight that 2000 BC wasn't 2000 years ago, nor was it when cavemen were running around - Egypt was in full swing and Stonehenge was supposedly finished by this time. Also, the Scots language developed about 1000 years ago give or take a few decades so having one of the angels speak with a clear Scottich dialect makes no sense - we all know you just wanted Gerard Butler to be in the movie. Speaking of accents, America is about a fifth of that age so Michael shouldn't be running around sounding like Dennis Leary.
Meanwhile, they behave like immature college guys who don't know the meaning of reading the fine print before signing a deal with the devil. I'd hope 4000 (not 2) would give them more brainpower. Oh, and because they're ARCHANGELS. Not to mention all the angels are amazingly perfect in every way and have a Dr. Who style house that spans the dimensions of space, manned by a MegaButler named Max.
I really really wanted this to be a good book but it had too many flaws and no meat on the bone. The narrator was okay but not great, and overall even the good aspects were outweighted by thte bad. Read Nalini Singh instead.
I am Who I am; and you are Who you are...so lets leave it at that.
"Different and Eye Brow raising...worth a credit"
I extremely enjoyed this book...But I have to warn anyone who is truly religious the author does put the big guy in the shy in a bad light. It might cause you to raise your eye brow in the way the author makes him seem like a self involve and self interested being. But I dont believe religion has a part in Fantansy so it did bother me.
I like the concept. The plot is not orginial but it does not take away from the book's enjoyablity. It started a little slow but I think its because its the first book and the authors was not only trying to set up the book but the whole series. I also like how the "devil" was protrayed. There was more to the character then just I am evil so fear like in so many books.
Their is a every interesting sex scene, so if your not into that..it might not be the book for you. If your extremely religious...this might not be the book you when to listen to. Hope you Agree.
"Great Book!!!!"
I cannot wait until the next one is released!!!! In listening to the book, I thought I had figured out what was going to happen and I was pleasantly surprised how wrong I was!!! I would recommend this to everyone!
"Great Book!"
Couldn't stop reading!
Jacob, Adam and the Nightwalker Series. They are just so full of action, love, humor etc.
Az, who is the Death Angel is cool.
These Angels are what dreams are made of.
Keep writing these books, Please. I want to see the one about Michael and Sam come out too. There is so much I want to see with Michael and Sam still. I see Sam becoming something even bigger than the four. He has a lot of depth to his bad boy self.
"Very Good"
I bought this series because of the reviews it had, it was good, I loved the storyline alot and I'm looking forward to the 4th book, that being said.......I didn't think the narration was the best ever, it was good but not the best. Mr. Jackson's accent was not spot on, I found my self wandering, which to me is a sure sign the narrator did not catch my attention.
Day dreaming book lover!
"Dream Angels!"
This is the first book of a great paranormal romance series. The narration is outstanding and I absolutely love Mr. Jackson's voice. I have already purchased the rest of the series and look forward to listening to them.
"Next next!!"
If you are looking for book to make time fly by this is it! This book has it all romance, humor, action, suspense & so much more! Just got the next one!
Skiing and rock climbing!
"Interesting twist on arch angels"
no, I just can't take the narrator, hurts my ears.
Finding out about how the 'old man' did things
The, I'm guessing British man who narrates sounds like someone who would be fun to hang around with in a bar, but his voice hurt my ears at times. He would speak softly and I'd turn up the volume, and then his voice would blast my ear drums causing pain. Maybe a softer narrator would be good. Sorry.
