Free Interview: Susie Bright Speaks with Jillian Lauren, Author of 'Some Girls: My Life in a Harem'

Ms. Bright does not know when to finish her question and let her subject speak. The few words that Jillian Lauren was able to get in were very interesting, but I found Susie Bright's interview style to be absolutely grating. This is the second such Susie Bright program I have listened to and I am turned off so much by her style that I do not plan to listen to any more of her programs. I don't know why Audible.com features her so prominently.

It is official, Susie Bright should not interview people where her jealous or envious attitude is incredibly obvious. We want to hear about the life and experience of this Author and hear how she came to write this book. I am not interested in hearing the interviewer try to couch her obvious loathing for women in the sex trade business. Calling the Author a 'slut', to me is amazing and judgmental, no matter how she tried to slide the comment into the interview. I'm not interested in her or her thoughts about Miss Lauren. Ten min of that crap was awful to listen to and I'm sure uncomfortable for Miss Lauren. I want to read the book because Miss Lauren was so graceful in her responses, and I suspect more worldly.

Jillian, and the stories she has to tell are really interesting. This interview though, was really spoiled by Susie's Bright's ego I guess. Ms Bright has an undesirably long introduction and then doesn't let the poor interviewee actually respond to the question as Ms Bright seems to want to talk more than she does want to interview. The second half, when Jillian is allowed to get a word in, is really quite interesting.

Susie Bright, there is an oxymoron of a name. Suzie the Insipid Idiot better defines her interviewing skills. Be warned, this is time you'll never get back.

Susie Bright's interview was totally contrived and controlled and demeaning towards Ms. Lauren. However, Ms. Lauren displayed total class and style and under the duress of this biased interview, she was a true warrior. Susie Brights style is crass and harsh and totally biased to 'her' thoughts and feelings. We wanted to hear the story of Ms. Lauren and not the whining jealousies of the interviewer, Susie Bright. I hope all who read my review please note this review is for SUSIE BRIGHT!! And not for the author Jillian Lauren. A message to Jillian .. please find another interviewer for your books and get it up on Audible. Fast!

This is Susie Bright?

I have to admit - Susie Bright story collections are one of my favorite dark secrets. The stories are so varied, so non-typically, as intriguing as they are titillating, that even if I find a story I don't like, it's bound to be followed by several I do.

This interview, though, has me scratching my head in confusion. The interview is a couple of women laughing about and mocking a style of living that is different than either of them would choose now, even though one of the women did live that way for some time.

Initially, when I learned about the subject of Jillian Lauren's book, I thought it sounded fascinating. If, however, her book has the same attitude as this interview - mocking & ridiculing - I really just don't want it. Also, I'll do a double take before I support Susie Bright again.
