In a night of shattering brutality, three of Washington's most powerful and unscrupulous politicians have been executed with surgical precision. Their assassins, vanishing without a trace, have delivered a shocking ultimatum to the leaders of the American government: set aside petty, partisan politics and restore power to the people, or be held to deadly account. No one, they warn, is out of their reach, not even the president.
A joint FBI-CIA task force reveals that the killers are stealth experts, elite military commandos with the proven capacity to penetrate the tightest security and neutralize any target. But no one knows exaclty who they are or when they will strike next. Only Michael O'Rourke, a former U.S. Marine and freshman congressman, holds a clue to the violence: a haunting incident in his own past with explosive implications for his country's future.
Delivered with the dead-on impact of a sniper's bullet, Term Limits is a tour de force of authenticity and suspense, an all-too-realistic and utterly compelling vision in which the ultimate American ideal, a government of the people, is taken to a devastating extreme.

"Disappointing from Flynn"
I expect the Rapp stories to move quickly and they do. However in "Term" Flynn has given us what is more of a story outline than a fully fleshed out novel. Some of the dialogue between characters is so brief as to make me think Flynn wanted to finish the book before his wife called him one more time to sit down for dinner with his girls. Audible only has the abridged version so that's what I listened to. Perhaps the unabridged version is better; I'll give Author Flynn the benefit of the doubt, mostly on the basis of the Rapp stories which I do enjoy. In this case though, I would like my credit back. Audible?
"Not very interesting"
It was hard to find this abridged version believeable. Maybe the holes could have been filled in had it been unabridged. Not a very enjoyable listen although I love Flynn's work.
"Term Limits"
This was sure a short book and I had to wonder if it was over. Do not waste your money on this one. You will not know exactly when it ended but way too soon.
"far fetched"
SPOILER ALERT BEWARE Congressman hooks with the old buddy who has just killed (3) Senators. They go and kidnap an ex CIA guy and kill him ????? WTF ?
The Senator leaked the info that started the whole thing to his buddy. He ends up telling everything to his brother, grandfather, and girlfriend who is a reporter.
"Writing and narration are top notch"
Only problem, I didn't notice it was abridged until it was too late. Oh well, my fault. I will definitely read more of Vince Flynn's novels. Great action, great writing.
"Horrible Narration!"
I am a Vince Flynn fan, but this book was horrible simply because of the person who narrated it. Boy can that kill an audible book!
Things I enjoy good conversation, GoodPeople good books ( audible books ) beautiful women the shrine, Shriners Hospital for Children
"Flynn does it again"
If your a follower on this series than you will enjoy it. If this is the first one then you maybe lost as to story line. If taken in order then they will be very enjoyable
