"Holling's Caldecott Honor book, first published in 1941, finds new life in Bregy's reading. With a voice that ranges from smooth and lilting to excited and energetic, Bregy helps listeners follow the informative and sometimes dramatic adventures....A top-notch family listen." (Publishers Weekly)
"Highly recommended"
A great story for the whole family. We listened to it as we drove from Winnipeg to southern Ontario. Little did we know that we would travel through many of the same cities (Duluth, Sault Ste. Marie) that Paddle to the Sea travelled through. This made listening to the book very exciting for the kids (and mom & dad). The narration is excellent and the music really puts you in the story. Of all the kid's audio books I've purchased this has to be the best and is the one the kids want to listen to over and over. Highly recommend it especially for family driving trips.
"a great chil's story"
A wonderful story of s child's imagination and a glimpse of the life of the Inuit. Great for the non reder or a car trip
"Excellent Living Book for Home School Curriculum"
My children (4.6.8) have listened to it several times.
We especially enjoyed Bill, who repainted Paddle and added the metal plate.
Our favorite scene was when Paddle was stuck on the island during the forest fire.
