In Life After Death, Chopra draws on cutting-edge scientific discoveries and the great wisdom traditions to provide a map of the afterlife. It's a fascinating journey into many levels of consciousness. But far more important is his urgent message: Who you meet in the afterlife and what you experience there reflect your present beliefs, expectations, and level of awareness. In the here and now you can shape what happens after you die.
By bringing the afterlife into the present moment, Life After Death opens up an immense new area of creativity. Ultimately, there is no division between life and death; there is only one continuous creative project. Chopra invites us to become co-creators in this subtle realm, and as we come to understand the one reality, to shed our irrational fears and step into a numinous sense of wonder and personal power.

"Chopra presents a fascinating account of life after death for Westerners that will certainly please his avid fans and draw in new readers as well." (Publishers Weekly)
"Thought provoking book"
This is excellent book to explore the possibilities of life and death. If you beleive the life after death possibilities in this book you will not only not fear death but start looking at life in a richer perspective. Shishir has an excellent narrator's voice and he made it a very interesting listen. Enjoy!!
"Excellent"
Excellent job by narrator. Extremely enlightening and informative information provided from Deepak Chopra. I bought this download after the death of my brother to use as a tool to help me develope and get a better understanding of my own beliefs on what happens to the soul after it leaves the human body. It was a good decision and great buy, for sure.
"Deepak's a Master - and a HUGE help to me"
I used to buy Deepak's paper-bound books until my eyes became so problematic that Audible became a real life-saver. Bless 'em for always carrying such a fine selection, of which this book is a serious stand-out, it's so well written, has so much to express and brought answers to me at a time I desperately need them, as I willl be finding out for myself soon what life holds after death. As anyone can imagine, I had questions, even with a solid and comfortable orthodox Jewish religion supporting me. Perhaps the nicest part is that Deepak never steps on toes, never calls into question a different belief's tenents or dogma. I suppose the best referrel I can give this wonderful book is that, while toward the end -- it did give me some things to think about, it also left me comforted and in full belief that there is, indeed, existence after death, and along with an old friend "Seth", the spiritual enitity channeled by Jane Roberts in the 70's, intimates that, at least at first, the afterlife looks about the way we either expect it to look, or desire it to. With the exception of those poor souls looking forward to a "hell", or expecting 47 virgin girls as a reward for murdering Jews, the rest of us may be able to expect a restful period where we can collect our thoughts, rexamine our lives and perhaps make plans for the next. Meeting Abraham or Mose, or Jesus or whomever would also seem to be in the realm of possibility, although Deepak didn't elaborate on the religious aspects, as can be expected - nor would I have wanted him to. He's just one of our most gifted authors and a force in my life. I don't see how anyone with an open mind and a real desire to listen to lovely possibilities that sound of pure logic, and in any case are backed up by loads of research could not enjoy this book. The narrator did a fine job, though I prefer Deepak's voice, myself. I trust no other author, (other than G-d) more than Deepak Chopra -- even with my life; and death. DALevit
"Inspired discussion of death meaning"
An amazing book. Very well written and beautiful language used throughout. The ideas expressed were not dramatically new to me but it was so well expressed. I was member of a book discussion group that used this as it's theme last year and it was very viable for this use. So many varied concepts ON every page. Highly recommend this book...colleen
"Life After..."
I felt that Chopra dealt with an incredibly difficult topic with grace and ease. His writing was flawless, straight-forward and elegant at the same time. Well worth it.
"Brilliant Work Excellent Narration"
Fascinating on so many levels, spirituality, scientific, the collective unconscious. It is one of my favorite books by Chopra.
"Amazing and Comforting"
Shishir Kurup does an outstanding job. He was very easy to follow. It was very pleasant listening to him. He did not merely read the material, he performed it! But Deepak Chopra gave him something to convey that only confirmed many of the concepts and ideas already present in me. It is very well written. This book is very freeing and opens up a myriad of possibilities that will bless your soul.
There is a story woven throughout this book and I loved every character of that story.
Listen with a open heart and mind.
"A Little Different...."
I have to be honest, a few places in the book I "bookmarked" because it was very interesting and something to remember. However, I will need to listen to this book again and perhaps a third time to understand half of what was said.... Some of the book was hard to understand and left me questioning what he just said... Overall, a pretty good book and worth the time (or two) to listen to...
"Waste of Time and Money"
Oh, the flowery language used. Lovely. Factual analysis?? Missing. This is my first book by Deepak Chopra, and I will not be buying any more. I did recieve a different cultural view on the subject, that I will say. But that is not what I bought the book for. A total waste of time and money. Not recommended. Far better ways to spend your credits! Well, we all have to buy a few duds to learn which authors are not for you!
"Disappointing"
I guess I was looking for something rigorous. I'm not that familiar with Dr. Chopra's body of work, in fact this is the first (and last) book of his I will read. If you want a text on Hindu theology on the afterlife, etc., this would probably meet your expectations. I am sorry to have spent the credit on this one, but at least now I know what Deepak Chopra is all about.
