Maddie Chester is determined to leave her hometown of Gansett Island, a place that has brought her only bad memories and ugly rumors. Then she’s knocked off her bike on the way to her housekeeping job at McCarthy’s Resort Hotel by Gansett’s "favorite son", Mac McCarthy. He’s back in town to help his father with preparations to sell the family resort and has no intention of staying long. When Mac accidentally sends Maddie flying over the handlebars, badly injuring her, he moves in to nurse her back to health and help care for her young son. He soon realizes his plans for a hit-and-run visit to the island are in serious jeopardy, and he just may be "maid" for love.

"With the McCarthy's of Gansett Island, Marie Force makes you believe in the power of true love and happily ever after. Over and over again." (Carly Phillips, NY Times best-selling author of the Serendipity series.)
"Very sweet love story"
I absolutely loved this book it was funny, sweet, and romantic. I would recommend reading it and I hope audible comes out with the rest of the series on audio book. The narrator was very good And I wouldn't mind listening to her again.
Curled up with a good book in my corner of the world on Sweet Grass Farm, it doesn't get any better than that!
"Not worth the credit. A big disapointment!"
I loved the Fatal series by Marie Force which was why I tried the first in this series. It truly sounds like it could be a production of an earlier work because it lacks the depth, polish, character development and interesting dialog I was expecting from all the books in the Fatal series. I will never purchase another book narrated by Holly Fielding. I barely stayed awake through this one!
I will probably try the I-Team series by Pamela Clare. I listened to the sample and it sounded interesting and the narrator sounded good.
This narrator nearly put me to sleep. The love scenes were boring due to her monotone delivery. I mean, if a guy isn't any more excited than Holly Fielding made Mac sound, I would have asked him to leave and done my nails instead.
It was predictable, but sweet.
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
"Another Form of High School Bullying"
I enjoyed this novel. It showed how High School Bullying can affect a person life forever. Bullying doesn't always have to be physical but starting a rumor about someone and forcing others to go along with it has far reaching consequences.
Maddie and Mac has a lot to overcome but true love prevails.
The reader does an ok job, not great, not exceptional.
