From the number one Kindle best-selling author of A Modern Witch comes modern romance with a touch of magic.
Nell Sullivan is fiery, easily distracted by cookies, and doomed to wear the peach monstrosity at her best friend's wedding.
And she's a witch.
Daniel Walker is a former baseball player turned bored hacker looking for a challenge. Hacking Nell's online gaming world is going to get him a lot more than he bargained for.
A prophecy says they will make babies together - but when it comes to the love life of a modern witch and a hacker, prophecy might not get a vote.

"REFRESHING STORIES"
It's so lovely to listen to Nell's story. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer and included the story of the children's births, but I am sure that could be another book at some time.
A bit tame compared to my usual romance tastes but you hardly notice it as the storyline is so interesting that it keeps you engaged and there with the families.
I can't wait for more of these stories to be released in Audio!!
"Wonderful series with well developed characters"
I think of it as two separate things I prefer audio for conveinance but collect hard copies because of my love of books
As with all of the books in the series, the strength of love & family is so strong it's hard to pick one part!
Yes she's great! Character voices are consistent from book to book it's like talking with family, Nell sounds like Nell Jamie like Jamie etc in every book
Yep
The is such a great series! It's loving, positive, encouraging, I love these witches! Debora Geary is a talented author, you "feel" her writing, not all authors can do that consistantly, she does
"Fantastic, great, one of her best!"
This book fills in the story of how Nell and Daniel met before The Modern Witch series starts. Funny, interesting, sad in places. Provides more information on Nell's parents as well. I can't say enough about Deborah Geary as an author. I devour her books and reread and re-listen to them many multiples of times. Excellent feel good stories with lots of depth as well. Martha Harmon Pardee is the perfect narrator for this series.
"Good, not as great as other Witch Central Books"
Yes, Ms. Harmon-Pardee's voice pulls you into the story and the characters.
It gave the 'pre-history' of one of the central characters (Nell) in the Witch Central books, but it was more of a boy-meets-girl plot than a magical story.
Just as good as other of her books that I've listened to. She is very good with changing (and maintaining) the different voices in the book.
Important information about how Witch Central got it's start. It is a needed book, to 'flesh-out' the characters in the other books, so I would recommend it. But it doesn't have the same 'magic' and fun plot-line as Debora Geary's other books.
"This is a cute story but the narrator blows..."
I would definitely read another book by Debora Geary, but Martha Harmon Pardee is the most annoying narrator I've heard in ages.
This is a cute adorable, fluffy romantic story about a fire witch and a hacker. I love the character development, and really am rooting for them. The story makes me feel sappy and romantic, exactly what I wanted.
Absolutely not. Her dramatic pauses were bizarre and confusing. She has pauses that make you think there is a change in scene until you realize it wasn't. She attempts to give some kind of feeling performance that is pretentious and completely inappropriate for the genre of the story. Everything is muted and "understated" and really really annoying. I would honestly have to avoid a book read by this Narrator, even if I loved the author.
No, but it would be a fun book to read.
Keep the author, skip the narrator.
"Love this series!!!"
Yes, I would listen to every book in this series again to pick up all the things I missed the first time around.
There really isn't anything like this series so it's hard to compare... maybe something written by Molly Harper (they are light hearted and fun)
Nell she is a major figure in all the books.
When Nell told Daniel about her mom's precog vision.
I read this book (0.5 in the series) after completing the 3 books one through three in the series... I hope Audible gets the rest of the books in this series
"Fun to hear the back-story!"
Having first listened to "A Modern Witch" and "A Hidden Witch", it was fun to have the back story of Nell and Daniel explained.
Yes, "A Modern Witch" and "A Hidden Witch". Martha Harmon Pardee is very consistent in her narration. I've enjoyed her narration in all three.
"A Modern Day "Bewitched" Story"
I read the books in the order they were published. In other words, even though this book is the precursor to books 1 - 3, I read this last and I'm glad I did. There are little gems hidden in this book that you will not appreciate unless you've read the other books first. Don't get me wrong, this book stands on it's own. However, the listening/reading experience is greater if you have read books 1-3 first.
I love Martha Harmon Pardee's narration. I love the way she can put a smile in her voice that carries through to the listener. She is the perfect narrator for this series.
The entire series is a lighthearted tale that is a great listen for the beginning of summer. This time of year I desire stories that are clever, yet amusing. This series is a great start to summer and can be recommended for young adults as well as an older "girl" like me who sometimes wants to get away from great epic stories. (I save those for dark dreary winter days!)
Lightning and bushes - I won't say more than that!
Pink glitter - seriously fun stuff!
Yes, Virginia, there really are witches!
I have been reading some fairly serious stories lately. It was lovely to find this series (which I completed in one-week). It is a lighthearted, fun-filled, family driven story that is full of love, friendship and magic. Additionally, it was a cleverly written, enjoyable series. I'm sorry to say I've read everything that has been written to date about these wonderful witches. I truly hope more stories are forth-coming.
"Even better as an audio book"
Totally freaking awesome.
Romeo and Juliet! It is a love story for the ages only it has a happy ending.
This is a bit of a spoiler, but Nell's reveal.
My wife went to the ER and they could not decide what tests to run for a long time. Listening to this book was the best thing in the world to help me keep it together. I have listened to several of the these books and I love them.
I spent years driving a company truck doing electrical work in an area the size of Rhode Island. I would listen to old favorite books. It was great because it was almost like having a brand new book. I always found new nuances, ways to see a great book in a new way. I loved listening to old friends and getting to know them better. For someone who likes a lot of different Genres to say that I have found a new favorite author is a major statement. If you do not believe me then read my reviews about Debora Geary on Amazon dot com. I have all of this author's audible books and am agitating for the rest. These are well worth the credits it takes to buy them, and frankly I WANT THEM NOW!
