"Nice sequel in the Whiskey Creek series!"
Would you consider the audio edition of When Summer Comes to be better than the print version?Yes, I think the audio edition brings life to both the book and series.
What was one of the most memorable moments of When Summer Comes?When and how everyone finds out about the big secret.
What does Shannon McManus bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?I think she is a good narrator.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?Sort of. However, I enjoyed listening to it in multiple sittings.
Any additional comments?Nice sequel. Worth the money.

"Heartfelt Story"
Any additional comments?This story is about a vagrant veteran and a photographer who is deathly sick and desperately needs a liver transplant to survive. They both meet in a rather unconventional way and soon start to develop a romantic relationship. The characters from the other two books also make an appearance. Although this book was good it wasn't as good as the previous books. I look forward to reading future books from this series.

"Eh...."
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?The story is slow and amateurish. It feels like at 16 year old view of the world and love. Calli acts like a selfish 18 year old and so do her friends, their relationships superficial and weak. Levi is almost as bad, running off when the going gets really tough. All in all, badly written and the story line is weak with only the occasional interesting moment.
Has When Summer Comes turned you off from other books in this genre?Romances are hit a miss at best. This is defiantly a miss.
How did the narrator detract from the book?She's got a very young voice and takes a teenager's tone through the narration. I often forgot that the characters are supposed to be in their late twenties not their teens.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?I was just glad when it was over, willing to finish it but glad when it finally reached it's cliche ending.
Any additional comments?If you like superficial and bland stories this will work for you. But don't expect much, it doesn't have much to give.
