Madelaine Alexander is on a mission. When her boss sends her to the hottest nightclub in town to meet with the owner, she won't be deterred, even if that means standing in line for 58 minutes in torturous heels while she'd rather be home in her pj's with a bowl of popcorn.
A Knight of the Templar, Christien Chevalier was given immortality along with the responsibility of protecting the treasure of the Templars. He's been unwavering in his task for centuries, until his one true love - who died 700 years ago - shows up in his club, demanding his attention.
Christien couldn't protect Madelaine when they first fell in love. She was married to a lord and he was simply a knight. Now, through some unknown miracle, she stands before him again and they have a second chance. But Christien fears that Madelaine is being used as a pawn in a dangerous game, a game of good versus evil that could affect all of mankind....

"Well Done!!"
I am hoping to get to hear more written by Sharon Cullen. Even though the theme of this book is fantasy, the author wrote it in such a way to keep ones interest throughout the book. The story line was believable. All about this book is well done including the narration.
I spin my own wool and knit. Listening to audiobooks while I craft is one of my favorite things. I'm hooked.
"Enjoyable Read"
This book is a romantic fantasy done well. In the beginning I got a bit irritated with the author's redundancy pertaining to the hero's indecisiveness, and there was a twist at the ending I found a bit unnecessary, which is why I rated 4 stars rather than 5. These are little things, however, and should not put a reader off this book. The sex scenes are steamy, the action is intense, and the plot progresses quickly. The hero and heroine's characters are likeable.
This is an adult read, and I wouldn't recommend it for younger teens. Aside from the fact that it probably wouldn't interest them, the sex and some language is graphic.
The reader does a very good job with the material, keeping the action flowing seamlessly and doing accents effortlessly. Overall, very well done.
"Beautiful Story"
This was a very enchanting story. Romance, heartbreak, tragedy, redemption, recompense, resurrection. It has it all. A well written and very well narrated audio. I will definitely look for more titles by this author and more works from this narrator.
Very good!
"I Want More!"
I really enjoyed the unique story line of this book! I wasn't sure when I got it if I would enjoy it or not but I had extra credits to use and nothing on my wishlist for a change. I am very glad that I took the chance.
The twists in the plot along with the ties to the past really made this story one to get into listening to for me.
She was excellent! This was my first listen to her and I must say she is among the better readers. Even her male voices were believable! I even forgot that it was only a female reading the book if I didn't remind myself.
I was so upset when the book ended! Even more upset that it is a stand alone book. This would make an excellent series and I'd love to see it continue!
Well worth the listen!
"The worst story ever! Dont waste your MONEY!"
I don’t know if it was the narrator or just the bad plot but this book was a waste of audio tape! From the repeating of sentences, to the overall terrible storyline…I couldn’t help but laugh at how poorly written it was! Ugh… I had to force myself to get through part 1 and then I just couldn’t go on…and believe me I have never not finished a book! I will force myself to finish for the shear pride of saying I got through it…But this was just awful! Thank goodness it was on sale! Because If I had paid full price! I would be livid! As a matter of fact I should ask for my money back for the first 5 hours of my life that I spent listening to this audio I can’t get back!
"Next To Perfect"
The story was enthralling. The narrator was captivating. I longed for a happier ending, but guess by imagination will have to do this time. Overall it's a keeper that I'm sure I will revisit in the future.
"Worst audio book ever"
Horrible narration - horrible production. Totally improbable storyline. Terrible dialogue. I really don't get all the positive reviews. Just can't finish it - and I really tried.
"A Little Too Long"
I loved the story but sometimes I just wanted to skip all the self-doubt thoughts and get on with the story!
The historical periods and the juxtaposition with modern times.
I've heard better.
"Good Story, Not so good Narrator"
Helen Stern's narration was great in English and French accents, Her American accent distracted me from the story
