I read so I can write
"Back on Top"
This is what I expected. It was powerful. The several different stories involving the primary characters of the series was handled smoothly and professionally. The mystery was well developed. The ending worked. These books are definitely written as a series, so when an ending opens the next story that is expected.
"Excellent"
The combination of the Washington political scene, hunt for a vicious killer and developing personal relationships provides a multi level story which holds one's interest. It may be helpful to listen to the two preceding books since they provide background which supports this book...or consider just the last one Fatal Justice as a start. Each book adds to the richness and complexity of the main characters ...and each gets better and better.
"Too much romance"
No suspense and too little action. This is a romance novel. Besides it is difficult to follow the story. what little there is of a story.
"Great story"
No...the narrarator sounded like she either had a cold or something stuffed up her nose. I suggest just buying the book.
The story was very well written. I love the dynamics between the characters and the compelling story line.
No...
I wanted to turn it off and read the book.
“I love all genres of books, however when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
"Another Great Installment"
This is the third installment of the fatal series about Samantha (Sam) Holland. I loved the book. Great writing and timing. Sam is a too tough police lieutenant who, with her team, sets out to solve the mystery of brutally slain immigrant women. The Washington DC political intrigue is again featured in the book and Sam's senator fiancé Nick is as dashing as ever. This is gritty, thriller with a couple of really good side stories about her coworkers. I have gotten to know these characters and look forward to see what is next in their lives.
"Each book is better than the last!"
The third installment in the series, this book is intense as Lt. Samantha Holland goes after the best kept secret in D.C., a high level prostitution ring.
Love this series and I'm anxious to read the next installment.
