Publisher's Summary

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back. The brassy babe in the powder blue Buick has been given the unpopular task of finding Mo Bedemier, Trenton's most beloved citizen, arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, gone no-show for his court appearance. Once again, the entire One for the Money crew is in action, searching for Mo, tripping down a trail littered with dead drug dealers, leading Stephanie to suspect Mo may be in over his head.

Don't forget the rest of the Stephanie Plum series.

    "Thee to Get Deadly"

This was a good story, as usual, for Janet Evanovich. The narrator has changed from previous books. This took away from the story for me. Critt tried and did a decent job, but the voice used for Ranger made him sound like an adult special needs person, not a hunk. The voice used for the Grandmother was also lacking. Instead of a quirky old lady with outrageously funny comments, she now sounds like an old smoker making odd comments that don't match her voice.

    "Wrong Narrator"

I have read this book and enjoyed it very much, so I thought that I would purchase an audio of it. Unfortunately the choice in narrator took so much away from it that I stopped listening after the first 20 minutes. I was very disappointed with C. J. Critt. However, I may purchase the latest audio narratoed by Janet Evanovich herself.

    "Meh"

I really like Lorelei King as Stephanie Plum. I bought Two for the Dough and didn't think it was too bad and so I purchased this book. I almost stopped listening. I did not enjoy anything about this one. All the male characters sounded the same and her female voices weren't much better. I wish that whoever is in charge would just have King read the first seven (?) unabridged books in the series.

I can't believe it took so long for us to get the unabridged version of books 2 & 3. It was well worth the credit. Cant wait for the unabridged version of book 1.

    "Narrator too old!"

I thought C.J. Critt was a very talented narrator, but her voice was far too middle-aged for this part. The story was great. Funny, as always!

    "Not My Cup of Tea"

The story started out poorly for me as I did not care for the narrator. The tone and sound of the voice did not suit the character and it threw me off. There was nothing about it that kept me wanting to hear more. I finished it as I usually dol even though I may not care for the book. The story line felt immature to me, nothing challenging about it at all. I've read a few of Janet's books before and thoroughly enjoyed them. Would not recommend this one.

    "Stephanie Plum is just fun"
If you could sum up Three to Get Deadly in three words, what would they be?

    Witty, Snarky, & Funny

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed listening to this book for the simple fact that it's funny. While Stephanie is roaming around town trying to get her man she teams up with her favorite ex-prostitute and hilarity ensues. This is a great book because it's a good mystery but really your living a life in the day of someone you can relate to. I would recommend this book to anyone.

What does C. J. Critt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I really like how C. J. Critt is able to take on all the voices and even though they are similar they are different at the same time. It's really entertaining.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

They don't make Candy store owners like they used to...

    "Great Read."
Where does Three to Get Deadly rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a great enjoyable, fun read. I like the change from gore and dark to mysterious and intrigue with a quirky sense of humor.

Have you listened to any of C. J. Critt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listened to the first three books of the Stephanie Plum series narrated by C.J. Critt and I liked them all.
