Here is the sequel to Teri Woods’ self-published phenomenon True to the Game.
Trying to survive the projects in the late 1980s, Gena locked in to the game, and when she met millionaire drug dealer Quadir, she was primed and ready to help the man she loved build a massive empire. All the while, Gena fought to hold onto her man, her house, her car, and the stash of cold, hard cash they’d amassed. But as hard as she fought to hold onto that life, she knew that in the vicious, seductive world of the streets, nothing lasts forever.
Now everything has changed. Quadir is dead and Gena is on the run, pillowcases packed with millions of dollars in cash stuffed into the trunk of her baby-blue Mercedes-Benz. Speeding away from her old life, she feels like she’ll never escape her past—and she’s right. She quickly finds a new man to love, and Jay seems like just the right guy to protect her and help her forget. But little does Gena know that Jay is really Jerrell Jackson, Quadir’s archrival, who’s fixated on getting his money back and getting his revenge. And lucky for him, he’s just found out how.

“Woods keeps it raw in this gutsy sequel that features the round-the-way girl who fell hard for Quadir, the millionaire drug dealer.” (Essence)
"Good sequel."
About the same.
There is no other book.
No.
Almost, there were one or two lull moments.
The ending was kinda leaving you with questions of what happen next. Was it really Qudair or was she dizzy from her beating. Or if was Qudair, why did fake dead.
"Awesome read"
Haven't read it in print. I enjoyed listening though. Keeps me up while I'm driving home at night.
Cary Hite is an awesome reader... Keeps you wanting more.
"Great series!!!"
This book like book 1 is great. I love the narrator Cary Hite. The story unfolds well and in perfect order. Honest to GOD I have listened to the entire series 5 times. It is my fall back when I have nothing else to listen to. This book is well worth the credit.
"SIMPLY BAD.."
Didn't like it at all. Far too much rambling about nothing. I really like the narrator but this just didn't work. This was just a bad story plain and simple.
