Kiss Me If You Can

Absolutely loved the storyline of this book. Can't fault Carly Phillips there.

However, the narrator drove me nuts! In six year of Audible membership I have never reviewed a book (tend to buy books with lots of reviews already), however I HAD to leave a review about the narrator.

Unfortunately, Sherri Slater sounded sleepy for 80% of the book. That aside, my main issue was with how loud she spoke at times and then so super softly at other times. One moment it was super loud (when she read dialogue), and the rest I had to turn the volume up in order to hear the narration between the dialogue. She'd go from speaking loud and clear to trailing off to a whisper. I eventually just turned up the volume so I could hear the softest parts and then I'd be startled when she'd read more dialogue loudly. It was frustrating to say the least.

Also, her attempt at voices for all male characters was irritating. They all sounds snooty and irritated all the time. Just weird.

Perhaps I'm being too picky. I don't know. Long story short, if you're a Carly Phillips fan, skip the audio book and pick up the paperback.

The book was pretty good but the narrator was totally annoying. Her male voices and attempts to speak in New York accents made this book almost unbearable to listen to. I am glad to see the next book has a different narrator.

I must have listened to over 100 audio books, and this is the first time I felt like I have to write a review, this book might have been 100% better with a different narrator, she just ruined it for me. Do your self a favor and read it instead.
